Blackstone Golf Course

Not expecting much for the money, I was pleasantly impressed with Blackstone Golf Club. The practice facility is sparse, but that’s where the mediocrity ends. The fairways are mostly adequate although sometimes a bit bare ( it was January). The greens are fantastic and challenging. Bunkers are well maintained but could use a few more rakes. Elevation changes are breathtaking and add a bit of calculation needed. The carts are top notch although the constant advertisements are distracting. Overall, I’d play this course again anytime.

The course layout is challenging - tight fairways, deep gorges that have to be negotiated from the tee, and the ever-present sandy soils that makes it difficult to chip accurately that permeates the southern United States. But for all that, Blackstone is a fun and very pretty track that has lots of character and subtlety.

Just leave your ego, and maybe your driver, at home. :)

I played this course a lot before moving to Atlanta in 2016. This layout is fun, but not overly difficult. I came back to see how things have changed and it's the same as it was 8 years ago. This isn't your typical Florida course, it has the feel of a course in south Alabama/Georgia. Pines trees all over, no Palm trees or water. Staff is friendly. Really great course overall.

Fairways were essentially dead. Course conditions were horrible

The overall course was in pretty good shape. Tee boxes and fairways could have used a little work but it is winter time so I didn't expect perfect conditions. However, the greens were some of the best I've ever played on. They rolled true and fast making the putting very consistent. I must have just timed it perfectly not long after they aerated and rolled them or something, but I loved them.

The course was perfect today. The greens are in really good shape. The fairways was amazing when we found them. Course looked like it’s old self. Can’t wait to go back for another round

Greens are running fast and look great, best greens around, equal to Regatta Bay at 1/3 the green fee, worth the drive.

Greens have been cut lower and rolled, best I’ve played on, better the the Sandestin courses.

We like this course for its back and forth over a creek with doglegs and blind shots. For mid December the course was in fantastic shape with almost all tee boxes and greens in super shape. Secured a Deal Time deal for $27 each including cart - great way to spend an afternoon! Definitely going to return while in the area over the holidays.

This was our first time out to this course, and we had a great time. It's not a difficult course to follow, the traps and bunkers are around but didn't seem to be hard to navigate around. The greens and most Fairways were still pretty green for late November. There were a lot of leaves which did make hunting for your ball a challenge, but not impossible.

Excellent greens. Could be faster. Tee boxes and Fairways need work. Enjoyed the variety of holes
