Blackstone Golf Course

We arrived at course only to find out it was cart path only as they had overseeded the fairways Even considering that we had an enjoyable round and still played in under 3 hours, as the course was quiet for a Saturday. We did come across a Rattler sunning itself on a cart path..

This is usually a wonderful course a=in great condition but the fairways took a beating this summer and are all over to bring them back. I have all confidence it will be back in great shape again. Greens were awesome and the staff is always very friendly. They did give me a heads up about the fairways and what they had done to start to recover them. It was cart path only but no biggie because there was a good reason to stay off the fairways. As always I'll be back.

Fairways are being repaired in spots but greens were excellent.

It's a good course with hills and some really challenging holes. The greens were beautiful, undulating and thick. The biggest problem for me is that I was recovering from a broken ankle 6 weeks prior and the walking, even with a cart was a bit of a challenge.

The carts were great but the gps screen had a ton of advertising.

Nice practice area and putting green. the course from the tee box to the green was not good at all. Looks like no water, except for greens, for weeks or longer. fairways were in terrible shape and many times I was hitting off hard pan or sand in the middle of the so called fairways. Bunkers greenside were decent. I played this course before several times and it was beautiful and green with distinct fairways. Just dissapointed at the condition of the course today compared to what it used to be. Wont be back anytime soon.

The bad, The course used to be outstanding, unfortunately they mostly lost the fairways and tees this summer. They had irrigation problems complicated by hot dry conditions.

The good, the greens were great!! Also, they told me they have the irrigation fixed and will be reseeding everything this winter. Hopefully, things will be much better next spring.

The layout of the course is interesting with elevation changes, and dog legs. The fairways are wide enough which is good, because there are trees lining the sides of almost all of the fairways.

I use to love and recommend this course. Played several times over the past 6-7 years. Not sure I’ll play it anymore.

What’s good? Golf carts are newer and perform well. Greens are on average ok. Fringe decent. Within 75-100 yards of green pretty rough mostly.

What’s been ignored and needs lots of help? Tee boxes below average. Fairways are terrible for most part. Dirt.and sand. Limited grass. If you play here, you’ll need to move your fairway ball onto the some adjacent grass somewhere most of the time. I wasn’t in sand bunkers yet most looked ignored.

Overall a good golf outing day. Greens were excellent. Fairways not much grass, hard but got long rolls.

The course greens are well maintained. The fairways are lacking due to pump issues but still well maintained. I high recommend this course!!!

I've played hundreds of courses and this place came in 2nd to last. I took 3 guests, and I was absolutely embarrassed for them to see what course I chose. Just 1 look at the driving range should have told us that we should just walk away. I thought I got a great rate at around $30 per player, but in truth, they should have been paying us. The fairways ???? They should be ashamed to call them fairways. Enough said. I would never, ever return to this course.

Good greens and collars

Terrible fairways, very little grass, mud surface.

Have to roll ball to find a mound of grass.

Like the way the fairways have wood pines on both sides

Price to play suitable due to layout, and greens good. Therefore the price to play was suitable do to poor fairways

Fairways are absolutely horrible. Greens on the other hand were great

Having played several other courses in the area I was really pleased with the condition of the greens. They had good speed and were in spectacular condition. I was disappointed in the condition of the fairways. There were a few that were in good shape; however, several resembled a desert landscape. I wouldn't describe it as family friendly. It is a challenging course, but I love the layout.

This course is not watering their fairways, the only part getting sprinkled are the greens, do not know what the reasons are for the lack of watering . With that being the case the fairways are just dirt and dead grass, it was not an enjoyable round of golf. I do not recommend anyone playing Blackstone GC at this time.

If you like weed fairways and dirt fairways you’ll love Blackstone. Wish I had taken pictures because there are good reviews recently for this place.

Those are either a bait and switch thing written by one with an agenda or we’ve got a couple of blind golfers on our hands.

Unreal there are so many courses these days without some type of irritation system..

The only grass here is the greens.

It’s a shame: decent looking clubhouse.

Greens are fine but everything else is garbage.

I recently bought new clubs. I’m not going to damage them playing courses like this more than once.

I won’t be back.

This is the 2nd time I have played this course and the last. Thought it was in bad shape the first time I played it about 6 months ago and today it was even worse. The greens are in very good shape but the fairways are horrible. Tee box’s were uneven and bare. If you don’t hit every tee shot down the middle your ball runs off the rock hard fairways usually into the woods. Long story short I’m done with this course.

Beautiful greens and fairways! Some challenging holes, but worth the drive! GPS on the carts, and ice water refills on a few holes and in the clubhouse. Food and drinks are reasonably priced as well!

All in all, one of our regular courses to visit!
