Blackstone Golf Course
About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

Greens good, Fairways NOT
It has been about 10 years since I played Blackstone. With all the great reviews, figured we'd drive the 45 minutes from the beach to play this course after playing Sandestin Links. Blackstone is nowhere "close" to The Links at Sandestin in playability. Blackstone's greens were pretty dang good, but not great. The tee boxes are just ok. The fairways on the back 9 especially are awful. Many extreme "washouts," resulting in no grass at all, and where there was grass didn't appear to have been mowed in several days. The front 9 was much better than the back, in layout and condition. There are no restrooms out on the course, just "port o pottys" It is sad what has happened to this once great course. That is what I continued to think during the round, from the initial "look" when driving up and parking, noticing how unkept the area is in front of the cart barn, and while out on the course itself. The staff (2) in the club house was very friendly. We paid $30 on a Hot Deal for an afternoon tee time. That price is about right, or fair, for what you get at Blackstone.
Best Bang for your Buck in the Area
I paid $17 to walk 18 Holes at the twilight rate for a course that is in better shape than many of the more expensive courses in the area. There were a couple of holes that I wasn’t to fond of the course design but overall, great conditions. The traps and greens were well maintained for the most part and the fairways were in pretty great shape too. I would strongly recommend this course to anyone in the area!
Surprisingly fun!
Greens were decent, fairways were average. Nice change of pace with big elevation changes on many holes which is different then most courses in this area. Afternoon tee time was wide open no one behind or ahead. Really enjoyed the round would definitely go back. Price can't be beat for what you get
Great greens course needs work
Looks like at one time resort style golf course. Tees to greens needs work.
Consistently good and hilly
This course is always in good shape and layout is challenging. Be prepared for some deep hills with hazards. Clubhouse is a little weak but ok
I’ll play again
The course was in very good condition, the greens were in very good,I’ll play again
Worth a visit
Large sloping fairways to well kept greens.
Some areas are dry and patchy but all and all well worth a visit
Blackstone
Course is a very hilly with several ravens, very little grass on the fairways, gullies cause by rain runoff.
I like the layout of the course but the overall condition of the course is poor. Does not look like the pictures do to lno rain.
