About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

Quality and Value
Played 5 rounds in 3 days and walked three rounds. Greens were "A-" , only because they were just a little thin - probably because of a cold snap earlier. Really like that they apparently smooth out, with sand, the unrepaired ball marks on the greens. Bill and his staff (Jamey, Riley, and everyone, in fact) were very helpful and nice. Third year I've played there because of my two fundamentals I look for in a course - quality and value.
Too many lost balls
Golf sucked. Lost too many balls but course and the greens are awesome as always. If you're a sprayer bring lots of balls.
A Excellent Course
Greens and fairways were in excellent shape. Staff were wonderful as was the pace of play. Worth the 45 minute drive from Destin. The course could charge more and I would still recommend

Unexpected thrills here. Plenty of ravines to challenge. Got to keep a cool head but you’’ll have a good time here for sure!

Best Greens in the Area
Blackstone is a hidden gem. It’s a bit of a drive for golfers coming from Destin/30A, but the greens are consistently the best on the panhandle, and the course layout is unique and challenging. Being a local, I’ve played most of the golf courses within a 100 mile radius and I believe Blackstone is the best value.
What a hidden gem
When we saw the price of what they were charging we figured it can’t be anything fabulous. We were fabulously surprised. It is a bit of a hike to get to but it’s not a tough drive at all if staying in the Destin Fort Walton area
This course should be charging more than it does, and definitely is a must play in the area. I can now see why it gets four and five stars. Staff were outstanding course conditions outstanding and the price absolutely outstanding
If you’re playing the Tips like I did you’ll see fairways are kind of tight. The greens were beautiful with absolutely no bounce and just pure fast roll. Sand was awesome and a good quality. I see no negatives at all at this golf course.. I highly recommend playing here
If you're a cop, God Bless You and protect you from all the wackos out there now days, but it is funny how some reviewers sort of encourage the course management to charge more for a round. Some of us play there because it's a decent / fair price. If you want to pay more, go ahead and just give them an extra $10.
January at Blackstone
Always a good course to play at a good price compared to panhandle courses. Nice to play panhandle courses some as well. Still, this one is worth the easy drive from the Destin area.

No disrespect, but if you want to pay more, go ahead - just don't encourage Blackstone to raise prices for the rest of us. A decent, fair price is one of the main reasons why so many folks play there.
