Over booked, Too slow
What a waste of time, waiting for backed up groups, Played 9 holes in 2:45. I asked for a refund, for 9 holes, because, I would not spend another 3 hours in the heat at Lost Marsh.
They told me to contact Golf Now, and they would call the pro shop to verify I played . Golf now would credit my account, well, Golf Now Customer service closes a 4:00 cst, that is unacceptable. Plus, the wait is forever when you call, made me feel like a real vip, what a joke!
We played on a Tuesday. Course was not busy because of weather. Club house gentleman was very friendly. Allowed us to tee off before our time. Course was in excellent condition except for the greens. Very pitted, but I blame that on the golfers not the course. Will definitely be playing there again.

Awesome Course
Beautiful course & facilities with large practice area and beautiful clubhouse. Course was very well kept. First five holes are wild and pretty challenging but a ton of fun. Only knock on the course was the on-course staff could have been a little friendlier. Clubhouse & starter were great but once we got on the course we had a ranger come and take notes on something on our cart on more than one occasion while we were putting and never spoke to us. Another employee told us to hurry up and catch up to the group in front of us who was halfway done with 2 when we teed off on 1 and a threesome behind our foursome never waited on us once so our pace of play was completely fine.

1st time playing in a while. Perfect course to get back in the swing of things. Good balance of easy and hard holes. Lots of winds at times making it feel like Scotland, but that was great.
Great clubhouse with views of the course and view of downtown Chicago on a clear day.

Challenge
We showed up as kind of a last-minute decision, but always wanted to play here. It was pretty late in the day and the man working the clubhouse was not shy about showing his displeasure about our arrival. We decided to let his rudeness go because of us showing up when we did. He told us we only had time for 9, which was fine with us. We paid and went out to play the round. We played the front nine and it is a gorgeous course. There is sand and water everywhere so you have to be pretty accurate with your Club selection especially on the first four holes. No complaints at all about the course, it is awesome. Later that night, we found out that we were charged the full 18-hole price per person. I'm assuming it was just an oversight by the clubhouse guy and not him trying to stick it to us for showing up late in the day. Hopefully this can still be rectified.

Only knock is Mother Nature and the crazy wind gusts today.

Difficult Course
wish the course was flipped so the water holes were on the back nine...
Fairways were wet so drives would plug....
Very windy day made some holes long...
Pin placements on many holes were on slopes or mounds...
Prior knowledge of where you should land your shots is very helpful.

Great Course, Horrible Pace
2nd time playing this course in the last month. First time out we got caught up in slow play on the back 9 and ended up leaving.
Hoping it was just a coincidence, we decided to give it another shot. We started with no groups in front of us for 2 holes and no group teeing off behind for another time slot. We caught up to the group in front and waited 10 minutes on every single shot for the rest of the round. There were 6 groups on top of each other for the entire back 9. We only saw the ranger once the entire day who didn’t seem to do anything to speed up the slow groups in front, only said “Saturday’s and Sunday’s are busy”
It was not nearly busy enough for the pace to be as poorly as it was. It’s a terrific course with a fun, challenging layout but the pace is unbearable. Unfortunately won’t be back
