Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

No such thing as pace of play
Had a twilight tee time and there were people from the back 9 moving to the front and people skipping holes. Checking in the staff made us aware that people were doing that and they made sure to tell us we were unlikely to even get 5 holes in. I’ve heard it’s like that all the time out there so I won’t be going back.
Not worth the price
For $115 on a Saturday morning tee time, I'd expect (1) unlimited golf balls at the driving range and to not have to pay for enough golf balls to get warmed up; (2) a decent pace of game, and not have to wait 5 min at the tee box for the group in front of me; and (3) not a d-bag range instructor who teaches students 10 yds in front of the range line then tells you he doesn't feel safe when a shanked ball misses him by 40yds. Ya bro I'm super pumped about my shank thanks for bringing it up. Anyways, stupid range instructors aside, I'd give this course a 4-5 star if the price was right. But at $115, go play somewhere else for the same quality.
Sweet Course
This place is honestly bang for your buck as good as it gets in Dallas. They plugged the greens a few weeks ago so they're not as luscious as they normally are but even with that you barely get a bad lie out of the entire place. Despite the fact that many people want to play here the pace of play has always been pretty good. I just wish they offered me some more discounts and none for the rest of you turkeys
Great Public Course
Really well run with a friendly staff. Most holes are taken care of nicely. Sand bunkers need work. Should be worked daily and is not.
They punched the greens and didn’t advise on the website
I came to play this afternoon because my home course had punched the greens. Get here and find out on the first green these are punched too. Nothing putted true even though they had top dressed and rolled the greens since the heavy rains last week. I’m sure in a few days they will be better. Only saw the beverage cart once on the front and back nine. It was really hot out this afternoon and we could have used a few more beverages. The course is in great shape except for the greens. Kinda disappointing after many previous rounds played here. I’ll be back and call before I book on Golf Now.
Disappointed
Have really enjoyed playing Bridlewood a number of times in the past. We had about 3hrs off daylight left when we teed off. Barely finished 9 holes. 5somes playing. No Marshall. What a waste and disappointment!!
Great track!
I was very impressed with everything Bridlewood had to offer. The layout is beautiful and for allows for aggressive play on every hole. Pace wasn’t too bad compared to what I read from previous reviews, I think it just depends on the skill set of the group you follow. Marshals are present but not pushy at all if your on pace. We finished in 4 hours flat and that’s being stuck behind a foursome of pretty hard to watch golfers. If you live nearby this should be a course in your regular rotation. If you’re not so close by, treat yourself to Bridlewood you won’t regret the trip.
