Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

Disappointed
Have really enjoyed playing Bridlewood a number of times in the past. We had about 3hrs off daylight left when we teed off. Barely finished 9 holes. 5somes playing. No Marshall. What a waste and disappointment!!
Great track!
I was very impressed with everything Bridlewood had to offer. The layout is beautiful and for allows for aggressive play on every hole. Pace wasn’t too bad compared to what I read from previous reviews, I think it just depends on the skill set of the group you follow. Marshals are present but not pushy at all if your on pace. We finished in 4 hours flat and that’s being stuck behind a foursome of pretty hard to watch golfers. If you live nearby this should be a course in your regular rotation. If you’re not so close by, treat yourself to Bridlewood you won’t regret the trip.
Not worth the cost
Over priced $100+, no range balls included. Paired with guy who had an 7 year old trying to hit from red tees which caused major slow play which I mentioned to on course marshals who did nothing. The round took 5 hours and in that span we saw cart person 4 times and there were 2 of them. We noticed at the turn they were hanging out behind the clubhouse chatting. I mentioned the slow play at end of the round to club staff an they dismissed me telling me the slow play was due to some men’s tournament. They presumed to tell me what I experienced.
Great experience
I was visiting from Houston, and got paired with three members. They were all very fun to play with and made me feel right at home. Conditions were above average, and the course layout was challenging but fair. Fairways and greens in great shape, and cold water available through the whole course. I would play this track again when back in the Dallas area.
Great course and friendly staff
The course is a beautiful neighborhood layout that is conveniently located in the DFW area. The greens were in tremendous condition and the Bev cart passed three times in 18 holes. The staff was very polite and helpful. Will play again next time I'm in Tx!!
Bridlewood
I haven't been to Bridlewood in a while. Used to have GPS, not any more. Used to have ball washers on the cart, not any more. Used to have clean towels on the cart, not any more. Used to provide ice in the cart cooler, not any more. Used to have ready-made sandwiches or hot dogs, not any more. Used to provide free range balls, not any more. The conditions of the course were excellent. Especially after the winter kill, it was in great shape.
this is a quality golf course
good course - good conditions - ball rolls true
this course can get crowded but pace of play was good today
Bridlewood is a great course
Went out for morning golf and the weather was ideal, cool but not cold. Wish I had played better but it was great fun. Only issue was the sand traps being hard due to recent rains. I don't think there is a whole lot the groundskeepers could have done about that in the time they had to work with.
Went where the good greens grow
I read reviews to find a course with good greens. Bridlewood delivered. Greens and fairway grass were perfect. A few spots of burnout, but nothing like a few other courses in the area. Pace of play was a little slow, but that is the new normal for public courses in DFW. LAyout was fun as always - 3 reachable par5's, wide fairways, big fast greens.
Bottom line, if you want good course conditions and a fun round. Head out to Bridlewood in Flower Mound.
