Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

great day for golf
Fairways were excellent as were the greens. Fast and fair. Play here anytime.
Great course but sadly no marshals to enforce pace of play
This course was in great shape. It's sad that there is no pace of play management by marshals. 5+ hour round is totally unacceptable, especially for the price to play. I would not recommend this to anyone to play unless your the first ones off on the course. Management should enforce pace of play!!!!!!!!!!!.
Great Layout
Great Price on Golfnow of 24.00 is a fantastic value for this course. Course in great shape, staff was friendly and the marshals kept the pace of play up. Only negative, greens were in great shape but, were very firm and would not hold any shots.
Beautiful Day
Nice fall day, course was packed for a Tuesday. Good greens, nothing sticked regardless of the angle you can in on. Some holes were squishy in the middle, as they were really watered the night before. Thirsty Tuesdays, $2 light beers. Nice touch. Cart girl ran into a tree...
great golf experience
Course conditions were excellent from tee to green. Look forward to returning for another round.
The course was in excellent condition.
I have played this course a number of times and the course is always in excellent condition. The greens are fast and true. Probably some of the best putting greens around.
Great Experiance
The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The course was in great shape and I will definitely play again.
Great Layout/ shot making makes for scoring
Good fun layout! Excellent green condition for time of year
Everything is awesome....(except)
This is basically my home course and I play it very often. As usual, the course, food and beverage carts were fantastic.
Slowness was an understatement.
The problem was the 4-some, which turned into a 7-some of drunk buddies in front of us. We teed off at 9:08am and finished at 2:25pm. While it was a busy Friday, on hole 3 (par 3) this group ran their cart across the green. When we made the turn there were 3 groups waiting to tee off on 10. We told the marshalls, but it was backed up into 11.
I can say that this is an anomaly. Normal rounds are right at 4hrs.
Slow Play
Had recently sanded the greens but the ball rolled well. Front nine soggy and back nine dry. Pace was extremely slow; had to wait 5 minutes on every shot. Took over 5 hrs. to play one round on a weekend. The price to play was good though.
Great time at a great course
Played in Labor Day weekend. Very busy but pace of play was good. Very fast greens. Overall course in very good shape.
Good condition, fast and smooth greens
Very enjoyable track. Good balance of easy and difficult holes.
Firm Greens
The only negative thing I have is that the greens were very firm and wouldn't hold shots very well.
They were fast and true on putts but very difficult to get anything near the hole because of the firmness.
Greens fast; Traps bad
I've always enjoyed playing Bridlewood as it is a good layout with a mix of easier and difficult holes. Throw is a gusty breeze and it can be a real challenge.
On this day the greens were running about 13 on the Stimpmeter and were in pretty good shape for late August.
My only complaint is the sand traps. They are inconsistent from hole to hole with some thin, some deep with sand and some mud. I don't get why a course that is in great shape everywhere else is struggling with sand traps so much.
Enjoyed it
First time here. Could have used a Marshall to keep up pace but a beautiful course.
The course was in beautiful shape
The grass on the fairways were nice and tight, greens were slippery but rolled really true. The last time I played it they weren't receptive to even a wedge but now they are in great shape. Not a crazy hard course but playing from the tips makes the par 3's really tough. But overall if you've got the money and time go play this course it will definitely be worth your while.
Course condition
The course was in good shape. Cart path only due to heavy rain the night before. The greens were not up to the rest of the course. Some bunkers still had standing water. Overall a good round for the money. The food was very good, prices were reasonable.
Greens Were Hard as a Rock
The greens were similar to playing link style golf aiming to the front of the green and hoping the ball stopped near the flag...Any decent shot or even good shot were not rewarded, anywhere on the green DID NOT HOLD. Fairways were nice.
Sunday morning
Had a good day at Bridlewood yesterday. Got out before it got too hot! Greens we in good shape, especially for August in TX.
