Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

First time, will be back!
Course was in good shape for mid-July in Texas. Played twilight, no issues getting on or pace. Overall, really liked the course, challenging, and fun to play. Will be back!
Great Experience
The course was fun and challenging. I will play again, often.
Good Experience
The course played fair but challenging. Enough sand and water to make life hard if you are not careful. Most fairways were good length but some were a little short and packed down forcing you to pick it clean instead of cutting a divot. The greens may have just been seeded and they were faster than I thought but pretty consistent. Played it 5 or 6 times now and it never fails to deliver.
Course in great shape
Greens are rolling very fast, course is in excellent shape!
Way Too Long To Play A Round!
It took us 5 and a half hours to play. We waited on every shot and sometimes three deep on holes to tee off. I was so disappointed as this was my first time but last. The greens to me were unfair because when you hit a good shot in them, the ball would roll forever. To have a good shot and not be rewarded on the greens, that was very frustrating and the two I played with who are real good said the same thing. Now the cart girl was great and came around on a regular basis. However the pace and to have a 5 some on a busy day and they were horrible and played music the whole time and nothing was said.
Best Public Course in Metroplex
Great layout. Fun course. Nice balance on water and trees. You'll use every club in your bag. And if you can get a Golfnow hot deal, it's like stealing.
Good value
Really fun course that is in great shape right now. If they kept green fees between $35-45 it would be a great course for golfers of all handicaps. Good overall facilities and great layout for golf fans. Overall I always have a good experience at Bridlewood.
The course is in good shape.
The course is in good shape and greens were in great shape except for a few patches on just a couple of greens. Finished the 18 hole round with my beginner wife in four hours and six minutes. This is not a good walking course. We rode and for good reason. It was hot after 9 am, and the distance between previous green and next tee box is quite far.
Good speed greens
Greens were firm and good speed, around a 10.5
Pace if play was a slow. 4 hrs 45 min
Good layout and enjoyed it
Great course.
Great facility that is well taken care of in a beautiful setting. Pace of play was about 4 hours even though it was a Friday. Starter and pro shop personnel were very friendly. A great experience!
watch out for #16
We had to cancel our tee time due to RAIN. The golf course was very understanding and did not charge us . If you would like to return our booking fee it would be appreciated.

Great condition and awesome staff.
Great course with challenges on every hole. Will be going back!
Great condition.
Greens were in excellent condition. They were firm and fast, but not hard as a rock like some previous reviews stated. Shots into the green would hold. Fairways were in great condition also. Bunkers were nicely raked. No complaints. We were first off the tee and finished in 3:15.
A Good Quality Test of Golf
Played for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed the course. The layout is challenging from the tips with a good mix of long and short par 4's. Very good bunker placement and hazard lines make this course challenging. Pace of play was better than most courses in the area, especially on a Friday afternoon. The greens were recently punched but rolled very true. Would really like to see how they are next week after some rain. Similar feel to that of Coyote Ridge or Texas Star. Well worth the money!
What happened to Bridlewood?
We've played this course several times in the past and loved it. The course was beautiful, well kept and the services outstanding. What has happened to it? The greens were awful and there was no indication of a drop zone on the 8th hole which requires driving over water. The course looks really neglected. The pace of play was decent although we had a slow group in front of us (with two open holes ahead of them) and no sign of a ranger. Not the same experience we'd had in the past and for $70 a pop, not worth a return trip.
First timer, will be back
I had friends tell me about this course and all said they liked it. I wanted to give it a try. Well designed. First couple of holes let you get your legs under you, then they begin to get harder. Not killer hard, but I was playing the whites due to the couple I was placed with. I think the blues (6500 yards ) would ad some interest . Over all I will be back. It's a fun course.
Nice layout
Course in fine shape, greens somewhat firm but rolled nice and true. There were many twosomes that if were paired up would help pace of play but overall an enjoyable round. Will add this to the rotation.
Not a bad track
Greens had a consistent roll although a bit slow from aerification in recent weeks. Got a decent rate of $55 + tax for an 8:30 start. No way it's worth the full rate they charge.
The course is a great layout
I enjoy this course, but unfortunately it was playing hard and fast due to the lack of rain, etc...the greens were in decent shape but extremely hard, so it wasn't easy to hold...
Only true complaint was no ball wash on any holes or the carts and the water coolers had warm water in them.
