Bridlewood Golf Club
About
Designed by D.A. Weibring, Bridlewood Golf Course features a spectacular combination of links-style and traditional features as it snakes its way through the flat farmlands and terrain that seem to be specifically created for golf.
The front nine isn’t as rugged as the back, and its first few holes feel more residential than the rest of the course. Two holes stand out. No. 8 is all carry over water at 195 yards, followed by the monster -- a par 4 that demands one heck of a tee shot to avoid the water left and out-of-bounds right in finding the skinny fairway. Next comes a long, long approach that will have you begging for a bogey.

easy course
nice course and facilities. The greens were hard and hard to stop a ball.it had just rained the day before and the sand traps were very difficult to play out of and not groomed.overall a very nice golf course but probably not worth what they're asking to play on it. Robson ranch and the golf club at the resort are similar the Facilities and much more reasonable.
solid golf course
Enjoyed another solid, albeit slow round of golf here. Pace of play (back. 9) dragged a bit, but it wasn't excessive. I think it's due to the short Par 5 on the back side that is reachable. The greens weren't as fast as they usually are (typically some of the fastest in the Metroplex, you don't want to be above the hole here!), but they were still good. Overall, this course remains in good shape, and it's a nice test of golf. Well worth the drive from McKinney...I'll be back!
Play Bridlewood if you get a chance
Course is in great condition. The best part of it was that our twosome was paired with a great twosome and we really enjoyed the round.
Course has plenty of trouble and it is easy to find it. Keep it straight and keep it out of the creeks.
Greens are some of the best around
Greens in great shape considering the winter we had. They have not been punched yet but told that is scheduled 1st week of April. Fairways still dormant and firm but weeks from being ideal.
Love the course
Course in good shape for what little rain we have had. Greens are still too hard and are not holding anything.
Solid course for a winter round
The layout is beautiful as you weave in and out of wooded trails and fine looking houses. This course is generous off the tee, but tightens up as you approach the green. Despite the Winter weather conditions (windy & 30-40 F temperatures), the course was in nice shape. The greens seemed to have been recently punched, but are starting to shape up for Spring. Lots of water so bring a few extra sleeves if your swing is a little off.
Great experience
Good experience. Close to home. Enjoyed the experience overall.
Remains one of my favorite courses
Greens were fast and true, fairways roll out and the course is in good shape. Something for every skill level here, great course when you get a good deal on golfnow, though I wouldn't pay full price. You don't need to. When the wind is out of the south, the course is a joy to play. Out of the north, it gets long from the blue and black tees.
Greg Lytle
This is a nice course with an excellent layout. Definitely the best in this area. My only complaint is that the greens are very hard and extremely fast. I played with a Bridlewood resident who told me that they would likely soften up over the next few months. I hope so...
Slow play
Over 4.5 hours. Tee times booked to close together or the marshals just not doing their job. Slow play ruined what could have been an enjoyable day.
Very nice course, challenged on several of the holes..
We were able to start earlier than our scheduled tee time. Unfortunately there were at least 2 foursomes ahead of us, we were a twosome, so we pretty much waited on every hole.
The course itself was very nice, the rough was "rough" no luck finding lost balls! Sand traps were very challenging Challenging course, nice club house.
Has a very good practice facility
Practice facility difficult to access. Not allowing golf carts in parking lot is why I don't play this course but once twice a year at most.
Marshals are very friendly and informative
I played this course for a fraction of the greens fee but would certainly recommend it as a great value even if I'd payed full price. The course was in superb condition despite the Texas summer and the greens were receptive while also putting fast and true. This course is tournament caliber from the tips but an extremely fair and fun track from the member's tees as well.
"Championship Quality"
The course was in excellent condition. Fast greens with challenging greens ( no easy puts)..The fairways were excellent and the complete facility top notch. The restaurant staff friendly and the food was very good too! If you want a real test of golf, a top notch course in great condition try "Bridlewood" in Flower Mound, TX
Challenging course with excellent greens!
Course was in pristine condition and offered challenging features on every hole. Controlling your drive brings rewards in avoiding fairway traps and water. Great course!
Nice challenging layout. Great fairways.
This course has the nicest fairways I have played on all year. It also has the fastest greens that I have been on this season. Getting a cart and starting groups on number 1 tee could have been organized better.
Great condition
The course is in great condition. Putts role smoothly on the greens. The greens are very firm, so you need to land short and allow the ball to roll back to the pin. The fairways are great. The back nine is much more challenging than the front.
Good Greens, slow play, terrible bunker maintenance
For a course of this caliber I was shocked as to how bad the bunkers were maintained..horrible, ruined the round.
Course is in great shape.
Enjoyed our round of golf at Bridlewood. Like the new greens. Course is in great shape. Pace of play was outstanding.
