Hills at Pecan Valley Municipal Golf Course
About
The old Pecan Valley muni has evolved over the years as the successful culmination of work between the Army Corps of Engineer, the city of Fort Worth, and the Tarrant County Water Control District. When the city sold the old Worth Hills Golf Course to Texas Christian University, they were able to fund a deal to buy the 27-hole Benbrook Municipal below Lake Benbrook.
The Hills Course was rounded out in 1981 by Dave Bennett, who completed the addition to supplement this shorter, more wide-open course. The course is less lengthy now but water comes into play often, including the 375-yard 2nd hole that doglegs left around water.

great golf for the price
Great Value for your money. Played on MLK day. A little slow going, but it was very windy.
Rude Staff
One gentleman working in the pro was impatient and downright rude. I believe from other players in our four ball they experienced the same rudeness. I got into the wrong numbered golf cart and he ran outside shouting at me in front of other players saying I need to listen when he speaks! How ridiculous, won’t be visiting that club again.
Enjoyable day
For January, public course and 35 rate for Sunday, a good value. Traps left dormant,-understand. Golfer who never learned the importance of a divot tool-SAD....Hope course holds up through winter season and greens attended to...Good value.
Windy and calculated
Course was in early winter shape with rough shots sitting down so you have to go get it on some shots. Greens rolled semi fast with not as much break as you read. Did see the cart girl once per nine.
She's a good muni!
I'm partial to munis because i like bang for my buck. Pecan Valley is a bit of a drive for me but worth it. Greens were in good shape even this late in the year, well kept fairways, and brand new carts were the bonus of the day. No whiplash on that start.
Excellent course
Great courses well maintained. Bathrooms were out of order this time but all in all a wonderful experience and round.
