The Golf Club At Fossil Creek

Played Fossil Creek for the first time since Arnie passed in September. Really paid attention to the course design this time in tribute to Arnie. This is a course that is wonderful to play with a very nice mix of holes requiring lengeth and holes requiring strategy. Course is in good shape, greens are very fast and true! Great time to come and play.

Right in the heart of north Ft. Worth sets this gem of a course. The design and layout shows just how beautiful our Southwest Texas landfall can be. Limestone cliffs and slow moving creeks touched by a well designed course.

Short course. Very fun layout. greens were impossible. Miss the cup by an inch and it rolls into the water. Never seen that in my life.

You can't beat 83 degrees on 12/28. The course was in very good shape. Greens roll true. This course is always a challenge but I love the layout.

Saw this on Golfnow for 39.95 and had not been out to Fossil in a long time so I figured I would give it a shot. AWFUL DECISION. Tee time was at 11:30 and I was running late, pulled in at 11:20 to find out they were 30 minutes behind on the first tee. Then the front nine proceeded to take 2 hours and 50 minutes.

Always have liked the lay out and wished I could have stayed for 10-13 but could not bear that punishment of waiting on every single shot and left after 9 holes. Wont be back until they figure something out over there.

The overall condition was good, greens are very fast and will hold shorter spinning shots. The main gripe on the course is pace of play. Second time I played here and it seems like they over sell the tee times. Again this is the second time with same results. We waited forever the first time and the second time we were not able to get in but 10 holes due to pace of play. The first time took just under 6 hours second time we ran out of daylight at 4:50 hours on the course waiting. What's surprising is the green fee are not cheap so you would expect less traffic and better pace of play.

Great course layout, requires accuracy on approach shots to receptive but fast greens. Plenty of elevation change to keep your attention and greens have sufficient undulations to ensure most puts over 10ft have at least a hole break.

Fairways and greens were in excellent condition for this time of year! A lot of creeks make it more challenging!

Arnold Palmers magic occurred here in 1988 and I have loved it ever since. One of his best. And it's in great shape. Must play.

Always love playing this Palmer course. The greens are true and pretty quick, bunkers in great condition and the fairways nice. Props to the management, keep it up!

I found a hot deal for $25 to play here and I am so happy that I did. Fossil Creek may be one of my favorite tracks in the DFW area. Excellent greens and fairways. 10/10 recommendation.

We played a couple of courses in the area on a recent trip and this was by far the best.

Great value and great condition.

Price was nice for weekday. However we did have a Dad and 4 juniors in front of us (2 some) that refused to let us play through. Not a Marshall in sight.I love the late Arnold Palmer but there were just too many adds on the gps. The course however was gorgeous. It was challenging and very thought provoking. There are few risk/reward shots here that make it fun. I will definitely play here again.

Awesome course for any skill of player. You will use every club in your bag. Greens were in amazing shape and very quick. Would prefer to not warm up on mats but worth it for the course

My buddies and I enjoyed our round very much.The greens were really fast and smooth.The greens were a lot faster than what we had been used to.somour putting was very challenging.After about 4 holes we got the greens dialed in and 3 out of 4 of us shot below our handicap.We all had a fun and enjoyable round and that's what it's all about.To play on such a nice course at an affordable price is what we all strive for.Of course the August rains we were blessed with this last month contributed to the perfect conditions.

Was in Fort Worth for conference and played course. Greens were a little slow looked like they had just been aerated but overall course was great. Had lunch afterwards and turkey club was a bit lacking but very friendly staff and had a blast. Will play again when back in area.

Truly a spectacular round of golf. Everything was wonderful about the course, from the layout, to the condition of the tee boxes, fairways and greens. The only improvements that could be made are on the restaurant side of the course. The food was a little better than average. I will definitely play here again!!

I'm so disappointed in myself for not playing the course sooner.. Every part of the course was top notch. There is no way I won't play here again and I will be bringing others ..
