The Golf Club At Fossil Creek

Overall a very good experience. Bunkers were good quality and the rest of the course went along with it. Playing in late July I was pleased to see water buckets completely full at every couple holes. Staff was quite friendly. I'm certain I'll return to play again.

As usual, Fossil Creek was in great shape and should be in every golfers rotation of courses to play.

Today play was slow, even for a Saturday. The on-course Ambassador/Marshall was just taking up space as we twice asked if he could nudge the group ahead of us who had fallen more than a hole behind at times.

It was clear that he was just serving his time to earn his weekly golf privileges.

Fantastic conditions for the dog days of summer! Greens recovered really well and are on track to be perfect come fall when the temps drop!

Nice place,?holes are tough to play

The greens were recovering from being aerified so they were a little sandy but still rolled pretty well. The fairways were in great shape and the layout is fantastic. The pace of play was a bit slow for me considering it was a Wednesday afternoon but still finished in a little over 4 hours. I will definitely return.

I stayed away from this course for several years due to an incident involving terrible management and tee time practices. This experience was much better. Fairways and greens in great shape. GPS was very useful on 5 or 6 tee shots. Pace was great (3:45 on a holiday). Beverage cart was around 4 times in 18 holes. The guys I got paired up with were pretty cool and we had a good time.

Only one negative, and this is a specific point I can't stand - I called to ask course if open and if there were any maintenance or special rules for the day. The answer was no. I show up, pay, practice, and wait on my partners. When I drive the cart into the first fairway - GPS tells me 'Cart Path Only'. No one said a word via phone or in pro shop. Fairways had received rain overnight, but were dry as of 2pm. Our threesome decided to use fairways only when necessary. I wish courses would be honest about daily conditions. I may have gone elsewhere rather than be CPO on a 93 degree humid day.

It wasn't enough to make me demand a refund, but it did take away a little from the otherwise great round in very good conditions. I won't wait another 7 years, but still not one of my favorites because of things like this. We also noted that the greens had only been partially mowed that morning... kind of weird. Patches along the edges were not done and were 1/4" longer than center of green. Made for a few interesting long putts. Weather delay may have had something to do with it.

Course was in good condition . Greens were also rolling good .

Course is very well maintained greens rolled great and fairways were nice,rough was was little thick but always is this time of year.If you havnt played here you should make it the next one your list.Expect a 4 hour round

At hole 12 ,called clubhouse. Very very slow attitude group in front. Was told by Keith. Someone would tell them. Never happened. Round took 4 3/4 hours. Never again .period

Just as in life...it's all about your timing. Great course. Have had fun every time I've played the course. First time playing early today. Had 8:38 tee time. At 8:38 there were three foursomes awaiting first tee ahead of our foursome. So don't know if they overbooked or folks just slow to get going. Pace ebbed and flowed rest of round. Played 18 in just under 4.5 hrs once we actually hit our first tee shots at 9:02. Course itself in good shape. Green held approach shots well and rolled very true. Luckily only in one bunker today but as usual, best sand around on a public course. Will definitely be back.

This is very nice layout golf course. Somewhere challenge and fun. The fairway and green are in good sharp. Staffs are friendly. I really enjoyed !!

Not a bad course, but the pace of play ruined it for me. Waited 10 minutes on every hole, and I teed off at 330. No marshal on course to help keep pace either. Course itself has a cool layout, but longer hitters won't be able to hit driver too often. I won't be returning.

Course was in great shape, there's a couple awesome holes with creeks and islands. Would def play again. Cart girl very friendly , I would say pro shop guy needs more of a friendless attitude very bland.

I was in Texas at a conference and decided to skip the meetings and go play. Showed up as a single and Tim the starter was very accommodating. I hooked up with another single who is a very good player. Very windy day made scoring difficult. $50 green fee was reasonable for me. Conditions were as expected, but greens were slower than they looked. One par 5 you couldn't hit driver on but rest of course was fine. Some tough par 3's. Although not my favorite I would play again.

Great course. Excellent. Staff, Pace of Play, Cart Service, Pro Shop, Conditions, Course Layout. All stellar. A+++ experience. Was a Friday at 1100, and the pace of play was no issue, even though it looked pretty crowded. Highly recommend. Jerred and his staff in the pro shop are doing a tremendous job.

It had rained all night the previous evening and they could easily have closed up the course. However, this course drains quickly and is in great shape for this early in the season. I always enjoy playing this course...no matter your handicap, this is a great track to play any day of the week.

I really enjoyed playing this course. Nice hole layout that made it challenging. The greens are fast so you'll have to adjust your approach shots. The bunkers had plenty of soft white sand all the way to the lip (this seems a rarity these days) Water, restrooms and a food option (besides cart service) out on the course. I will be playing this course again.

It was a great overall experience the staff was extremely friendly and found a group for me to play with and they were excellent company. The pace was a lil slow at first as there are some hidden creeks if you've never played this course, but the conditions were excellent good pace on the green speed and fairways (when I hit them) were plush . I would definitely play here again in the future.

Enjoyed the course very much. Lots of water so had to lay up on several holes. Played in just over 3 hours as a twosome. Great!
