About
The Carlton Gipson-redesigned Moody Gardens Golf Course is one of the most difficult tracks in Texas, universally considered one of the top five municipals in the state. The Gulf winds pound the course and water comes into play on every hole. Even from the regular tees, the route rolls 6,816 yards, so short knockers are truly at a disadvantage.
Getting there : From I-45 south, exit 61st St. and turn right. Find Stewart and turn right, then turn right again on 99th Street. Drive to Sydnor Ln. and turn right-you'll see the entrance on the right side of the road.

Cant book tee time at the course.
It’s sad when you actually call the course to book a tee time for a two some and the person at the pro shop says you can’t have the 7:00 tee time because you don’t have a foursome and you can’t have the 7:10 tee time because that’s for a foursome , but no one has booked those tee times yet. I was told that we can have the 7:30 am tee time which is crap. I will never play this course ever again

Moody is in good shape
The greens were excellent and the fairways were good. Must be able to recycle the sewage water from the Moody Gardens Hotel as it is very green.

I am a member and have never found a course that is consistently in great shape. Add the fact membership is reasonable, a very friendly and helpful staff and I can honestly say, this is the best course of about 6 to 8 courses, I’ve ever belonged to.

Pace Of Play
Pace of play is too slow. The course Marshall needs to have larger groups let smaller groups play through.

Staff was very friendly. If first time playing, make sure to have gps on hand to find your way around the course.. Fairways are in great shape and greens are fast. Stock up on golf balls if can not keep ball in fairways cause water is in play on 17 out of 18 holes! Great course.
