About
The Carlton Gipson-redesigned Moody Gardens Golf Course is one of the most difficult tracks in Texas, universally considered one of the top five municipals in the state. The Gulf winds pound the course and water comes into play on every hole. Even from the regular tees, the route rolls 6,816 yards, so short knockers are truly at a disadvantage.
Getting there : From I-45 south, exit 61st St. and turn right. Find Stewart and turn right, then turn right again on 99th Street. Drive to Sydnor Ln. and turn right-you'll see the entrance on the right side of the road.

Peace of play was a little slow, rental club charge is a little high. But all around decent course.

Great condition for january
I came down from Minnesotan for a couple of weeks to get away from cold. I played at some other courses on the trip and found this course to be in the best shape,
especially for this time of year. Greens were perfect and fairways were excellent to hit off. With 5 sets of tees it was suited for all level of golf. Great experience!! Going back next week.

With even the slight wind throughout the round, I could not have asked for a more enjoyable round of golf. From the greeting in the club house to the beautiful ladies in the kitchen, the starter, and the cart attendants. First class ALL DAY ALL AROUND!

Nice course
Course was in nice shape. Very playable. Fairways, greens and bunkers were all well maintained. Pace of play was alright. They do allow 5-somes which I’m not a fan of. Overall I enjoyed the course. I would definitely play again.

Still recovering
This place lost a ton of palms in last Feb freeze. Conditions overall are not as good as usual…….needs some TLC. Greens are OK but everything else needs some work.

Fairways and greens are always fantastic shape. Green keeper and staff do a great job. The great conditioning regularly tempts me to drive out to the island from West Houston to play. Go out and play,!
