Moody Gardens Golf Course

Decent course and great value for money. Pace of play could be improved by grouping golfers. Lots of individual players, very lax about tee times.

Nice course but sometimes the mosquitoes can be a pain , I’m sure it’s like that everywhere, the course is in great shape and I love playing there

It was a sunny, but windy day (15-20 mph). The layout is good, but course isn’t in resort fee shape. It’s two-stars for value in my mind due to conditions on many tees and fairways. Around the green is good.

I didn’t partake in food. Sped of play was excellent until hole 14/15 when the course was congested.

Back nine has water on every hole ..... I found more than I lost, can’t say that for my two playing partners. I might return when back in the area, if I see course conditions are in resort-level.

Played here today for my first time, had a great day of golf joined up with two guys that were awesome and great help. I enjoyed every second of today definitely worth the money and can’t wait to go back and play

Love this course, I lost 4 balls today, I never lose a ball , better have your A game , going again next week, love the Greens , very good

GREAT course to play!!! You'll get your moneys worth!! The course is in fantastic shape. A very challenging course, especially when the wind is gusting. Expect to lose some balls. The staff is friendly and professional. I will always play this course every time I'm in the region!!!!

If you want to have a great round of golf then visit this place. I'm a local and really love it. Make a day of it...and have lunch or dinner on the seawall. You wont be disappointed.

Overall this was a great course in very nice condition for December. The staff was friendly and a beverage cart came by several times during our round. The starter gave us some tips before we began our round that were very helpful to first timers. The layout gives off a tropical feel with all the palm trees and ocean breeze. Highly recommend playing here if you have the opportunity.

Poor first impression with the guy behind the counter saying "we are out of carts, make them walk" and then the guy at the register trying to charge me a higher rate than my golfnow rate. Once it all got straighted out I was given a key and dismissed. Once I found my group and we teed off things went much better from there. Course conditions were very good and it was an enjoyable layout. Not sure why they were out of carts because the parking lot wasn't that full. Seems as if they managed things a bit better from the shop this could be a top notch golf experience. Perhaps a starter to manage the tee and carts.

So maybe my review is partially tinged by the fact that I shot the round of my life, but I was stunned by the immaculate condition of this course. I've played some really fancy courses--Harbour Town, Poipu Bay, PGA National--none were in better condition. The staff was friendly, pace of play was good, and the beer was cold after the round. Kudos to the guys and gals who work there. I wish I lived closer to Galveston.

Had a great round. A challenging layout in terrific condition.

A very challenging golf course with excellent greens, well manicured fairways, friendly staff, and excellent facilities.

The course is in excellent condition. Course is challenging, especially with the wind. Pace of play is a little slow in the morning. Greens are fast and in great shape.

Course in great condition overall. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Friendly staff was a plus.

Course was well maintained & in Great condition. From the T box to the fairway, bunkers, greens, it was a very nice course. The only negative was the starter/Marshall, he wasn’t very friendly. The course marshal that we spoke with, while playing, was much more personable. Slight negative compared to the many positives at this course.
