Hy Hope Golf Course

Very short, very small greens, good for beginner golfers. It is inexpensive for a reason though, mostly par 3s, bunkers are not good, tee decks are uneven with many divots and few playable areas. It is great for first time and beginner golfers. And the people that run this place are absolutely lovely.

This turned out to be a very good course and wow there are some great views. There are a couple of longer holes on the front and the greens were in good condition. Lots of signs so you know where the next tee is. I would definitely play this course again.

I’m not sure if the lack of rain or the lack of care is to blame, but the greens were rough and bumpy today. Very hard to make smooth putts when there are holes on the green. Good value course, but don’t expect good conditions.

We love playing here, its just the right length and it challenging enough for everybody.

First time playing here and fairly new golfer. The pace of play was absolutely horrible with no Marshall. Also no directions on the course and very poorly groomed course (everything was dead).

Also if you want a cart be sure to call, they only seem to have a a couple available.

Not sure if it would be worth coming back when there's other courses that are better groomed and geared more towards golfers than the farm itself.

18 holes for $20 you can't go wrong. Had alot of fun!

Hy Hope is a great little course. Lots of hills so if walking be prepared for some hikes. Love visiting the store for some freshly baked goods after golfing!

The shape of the greens were well kept and actually much faster than you expect. The size of the greens were challenging for even the best golfers. Course is “built” like a par-3 course but can definitely challenge you. The only issue is the shape of the tee boxes, it was dried up, divot marks everywhere. If the tee boxes and fairways were up kept the same way as the greens, this course would be unbelievable. good value for what it’s worth. Very difficult to walk though. A lot of hills to climb, especially the back 9 and holes 15-18.

Course is very badly kept. Have power carts for rental but refused to rent us one as they said they were saving them for other customers meanwhile 5 carts sat there being unused.

Grass is brown and dead, dirt and rocks all over the course. Not recommended!

Played on a very warm Saturday. No ability to book carts before arriving on golfnow, and no carts available once we arrived. We felt our pace was fine, having to wait for a foursome in front of us for a couple minutes for about 3 holes. Were then rudely told by staff at the snack hut to "catch up" as the group ahead of us got 2 holes ahead. This is possibly because the 13th whole (i believe?) is more like a mini-putt hole. No liquor served here. Also told my energy drink had to be disposed of if it contained alcohol? Not a pleasant experience.

We were playing as a foursome on a Saturday morning tee off. The course was understandably busy, but not packed. We had a few beginners with our group and were respectful of players behind us. We had let a group of two pass us since they were playing faster than we were. Makes sense. However, the groups behind us after that were twosomes and even slower than we were. They were never waiting for us to finish a hole before having to tee off. A marshall comes out of nowhere and tells us we have to play faster because there are "several" groups behind us that are waiting. We said no problem and that we would let people pass. He said no and that we had to play faster. That we were not allowed to take turns hitting and that we all had to play at the same time to speed up pace of play. Completely disrespectful and lacking an understanding of who was waiting for who. After we had sped up according to his notice, we ended up being 2-3 holes ahead of the group behind us. Made no sense. I like the course and would like to remain a regular, but he was quite disrespectful.

Not all staff is rude here though. The staff at check in and the boy at the 12th hole refreshment spot were very nice.
