Up and Coming
Lo e the course close to home and a fun course layout. Front 9 is a little longer than the back. Staff is amazing and anyone who says different must not be following suite. Excited for this course future
No Management
Tee times were delayed because of lightning, no big deal. There were 5-6 groups waiting to tee off and the starter kept letting groups from the back nine go off in between schedules times. Got to the 2nd hole to find a group on the green, one in the fairway and three waiting. Guy in the clubhouse was very quick to give a refund with no apology (probably very used to this). He was cocky to be a glorified cashier. Garbage run course. I as easily going to be a 5 hour+ round at a below average course.
Not worth the $50 tee times
The staff and cart girl were all SUPER friendly and polite!!! But the entire experience was just ok…not worth the $50 fee. They’re still out of a trailer and they don’t seem to be working to get it back into the clubhouse. Again: staff and owners were friendly and very accommodating. The duck creek drinks were awesome!!! Just too expensive for dry, dead fairways….Mesquite is my home course and it’s $38 for great fairways and just as great greens, bunkers, etc. I will come back here again to see if they’re going to fix it all up or not…but I’m gonna try to use deals to get back there
Get what you pay for
Duck Creek was built as part of a residential golf development years ago, but went out of business, was resurrected as a daily fee course, and now struggles to get by. The clubhouse caught burned to the ground in a fire around Thanksgiving 2022. There's no sign of its being rebuilt. The pro shop is now in a trailer. The weather in Texas has been over 100 degrees Fahrenheit most of the summer, and it shows in the baked condition of the fairways, (dry and empty) water hazards, etc. Cart paths are marked by lots of broken concrete. The greens at least are puttable. Layout of the course is not very difficult. The best things about Duck Creek are its reasonable rates and an ability to play very quickly if you get an early tee time. As the day wears on and the crowds get bigger, it tends to attract slower players of modest abilities. I've played it twice in the past 2 weeks and will return as long as I can get one of the first morning tee times and play quickly.
Duck Creek
All courses in DFW are dry now due to heat. This was no exception. Some holes are very hard to follow for first timers.
Greens are in great shape. Dont bring outside alcohol. Not crowded
Up and coming
I can't wait to see what the new owners do with this place. Greens are nice and the layout is awesome. Does have its challenges as well.
Not worth our drive
The course needs a lot of work, especially for indicating where to go. A picture of each hole is necessary at the tee.
