Great course for the value!!
Book straight from the course and save about 8 dollars! Friendly and very Nice for our type of game! Haha
Haven’t played at duck creek in a year so it was nice to see the clubhouse is getting updated. The new carts are much nicer, the course and greens were in much better condition compared to the last time. Would’ve liked to see a marshal to keep up the pace of play, our 8am tee time took 5 and a half hours. Will likely come back and play again
Duck Creek is coming Back
I stopped playing this course mid spring when it was so rough. However, I decided to give it a go and loved it. Construction on the pipeline is finished. Tee boxes are decent. The first three greens need fixing but you get value for your money the rest of the way. They have newer carts. The bearded pro shop attendant asked me about my 13 year old special needs son who would accompany me to the course. It was touching to see someone who cared for more than my patronage. I will be playing Duck Creek again and recommend it to you.
Great improvements
Every time I play here the course and overall facilities are improving. This is a monumental task to get this course and clubhouse back to its former glory. Be patient.
Meh
Course needed mowing, staff in the pro shop were very rude, pace of play was super slow. Hitting off mats on the range which were under water. Course stuff I can deal with but, rude staff should be unacceptable. Be professional and nice to your customers. Wont go here again.
Getting better
The new owners really are putting money in, and you can really tell on the fairways and greens, the greens are great even after all of the freezing and rain we have had this year. they just got an entire new fleet of golf carts. Gets better every day!
Early round
Played this course randomly, as I was just visiting for the weekend and played a solo round at 07:35am. The course basically wasn’t ready for players; sprinklers were still going, no bev cart, bar was closed, no snacks or anything available. After the turn I went back inside for a snack, but still no progress in the bar. The guy at the pro shop had to get a couple things from the back for me (trail mix, snickers) and ring me up in the pro shop. Course was decent, but course was not mowed well at all, greens need work. Twice I caught up to the groups in front of me and they ignored my suggestions of letting me play through; there were no marshals. In my opinion, it’s poorly managed. It’s a small neighborhood course with good pictures on its website. I would not recommend this course.
Visiting
The pro in the golf shop was very friendly, but the pace was slow. Singles and twosomes in front never let me pass as a single or offered to let me join to help pace. Course was in decent condition for a neighborhood course. Rough is not maintained and a couple greens need some work, but overall the course was nice. I would not play here again the next time I’m in Dallas; there are just too many other options.
