I love this course
...because they accept singles. Duck Creek isn’t fancy but it’s quite a treat for the average golfer. Their rates match the condition of the course: average. I have enjoyed the people I’ve been paired with every time. The pro-shop personnel aren’t always happily checking you in but I quickly forget them when my round begins. If being pampered is not a need that you want met at a golf course, then go play Duck Creek. You will not be disappointed.
Once is enough
I signed up for an online promo. No need to go back. Some holes were pleasant, but most were cramped and many had houses super close to fairways and greens. That was my number 1 complaint, and maybe if I were a better golfer it wouldn’t have been as big of an issue.
Even if I were better, it would be hard to enjoy since it feels like you are playing in the middle of a landfill. The moment you step off the fairway you are amidst piles of trash. To be fair. I played in late December. Maybe in June the grass and vegetation hides the thousands of cups, bags, bottles and who knows what else.
Anyway, there are plenty of other courses in Dallas for next round.
They don’t even pretend to care.
The entire facility is as run down as the course. If I was an owner of one of the homes, I’d be furious. There appears to be no maintenance at all occurring. Every green had about 30 I repaired divots. Every tee box was like hitting off clay. It was difficult finding grass anywhere on any shot. The pro shop staff seemed completely disinterested. I can do a lot better for $45. I won’t be coming back.
Bad day
Terrible golf course,,staff unfriendly, poor conditions, no cars available.
Great for the money
For 30$ which is what I paid for the day (not sure what the rates are day to day), the course was good enough condition to justify the cost, I really enjoyed the layout of the holes and the creek that passes through intertwines wonderfully. The carts are ole fashioned and there’s no fancy gps, but if you just love playing and want a decent challenge without all the fancy stuff then this place is perfect . 4 out of 5 stars from me
Disappointed
I was let down again by the staff at this course. No starter. No ambassador. And I was not allowed to go before others who had later tee times.
Terrible management of the course, lack of respect for players
I’ve never had a round of golf take so long in my life. It’s clear that they overbook their course. Course was not that kept up with and I wasn’t able to complete my round because it took so long. Also, there are some players out here that don’t mind hitting teeshots over your cart when you’re in the middle of the fairway. It was classless, and with the pace of play and course condition, you could find dozens of better courses in the area. I won’t be coming back.
You get what you pay for...
First, some not great stuff: carts are awful, fairways are patchy at best, tee boxes aren’t level and riddled with broken tees (no place to toss them), and some guy mowing followed us around for what seemed like the front nine. Pretty good stuff: it’s very cheap and wide open, pace is great (2some finished in 3 and 1/2 hours no pressure) and the greens are definitely above average. To sum it up, it’s a $30 course in Garland. It’s exactly what you think it is.
