Excellent!
Course condition and management is very good but greens are airation...
I really like this course
This is a very beautiful and well maintained course. It was very challenging but fair. The greens are large, rolling and can be attacked but have very tricky breaks you need to be careful of. There is little area to land outside the of fairway, so if you miss badly you balls will be lost! So bring a lot of balls if you can't control your driver.
I would recommend this course to experienced golfers. It is a fun course.
The only bad part was the children screaming on hole 16 (Par 3). There are homes on this course and it appears that Chucky and his evil sister were out and allowed to scream and provoke each other.
Well worth the ride
Course was in very good shape and well worth the hour ride. Going to take the girls back to play it. . . Which is a plus since some courses are not very woman friendly. The pin position was a bear, miss the hole and you land at the fringe. Beautiful views, friendly staff (most of them anyway). Service was a bit slow at the 19th hole but the food was really good with a very good selection. Definitely a replay!
Great course
Great course here, everything that you need:
- great carts
- fairways, bunkers greens in perfect condition
- friendly reception guy at the lobby
- beautiful course with challenges (blind shots, water hazard, narrow fairways on some holes, bunkers...)
I highly recommend this course.
The course layout is perfect and challenging
The course layout is perfect. Also it is a very challenging course. Too many unrepaired divots in most of green
Better value than Maryland National
Course is always in very good shape, and underplayed. This day was a slight exception. They had a fully filled Memorial Tourny for a young Marine killed in Afghanistan right before I teed off. Wonderful cause and I'm sure all had fun. Unfortunately, as with most tournys, Too much beer, not enough true golfers - ball marks, CLUB marks and FLAG marks made all of the greens iffy, but I was HAPPY to repair as many of the marks as I could for all of those wonderful people honoring this brave soldier. I didn't know him, but I thank him.
Pretty nice!
Overall it's a solid course. Tucked up in Middletown MD you have nice mountain views from several holes. Course is in pretty good shape and plays quickly. I liked the greens as they were rolling fast.
There are a good amount of houses around the course, but I feel like you'd have to hit a REALLY bad shot in order to hit any of them. So novice golfers shouldn't be too afraid.
Worth the ride.
This course is well maintained, however the rough is pretty high (may be by design). Challenging design, however the difficultly is on the greens. Multileveled, and sloping greens are a challenge on each hole. Range balls are no longer complimentary before your round. Enjoyed the round and will return.
Can be VERY Tough
Hollow Creek is a very nice golf course. The first two holes are my favorite in golf. It feels like a professional golf course with elevation changes. After those 2 holes, the course is basic. The rough gets very tough in the middle of summer and the greens get very slick. They have the best 19th hole in all of Maryland!
Great Course.
The course has a great layout. The par three's are long and challenging especially when it is windy.
Great course
Hollow creek is a hidden gem in Middletown. While not glass, the greens roll nicely as they double roll them each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The fairways are in immaculate shape and the rough is no easy task. There are many stategically placed bunkers, especially on the par 3's - seems like there's one in front of each green. All in all, a great course for the money.
An interesting layout at a good price.
This course had an interesting variety of holes and was well-maintained. Price was very reasonable.
Course was in great shape.
I had played this course before. Challenging course with slick, undulating greens. You must keep the ball in the fairway!
Awesome course
Played it for the first time and it is a very well maintained course, with beautiful holes and greens that roll true and the 19th hole has great food. I will be playing it again.
Great layout in super shape.
I was very pleased with my overall experience at Hollow Creek. The course is magnificent and the restaurant/sports bar is first class.
My only complaint is that the Head Pro is a little stiff and probably needs to realize he is in a customer service business.
Highly recommend this course!
Very challenging and extremely enjoyable. Will play it again soon.
Great course with great sports bar attached.........the best of both worlds. Fastest greens this side of Congressional. An absolute gem that does not get near the publicity it should.
Nice Course Overall
The course was in very good condition. The clubhouse is very, very nice - reception hall, large restrooms, full bar / restaurant area. This was my first time playing here, so I had no idea where I was going. The starter seemed like we were annoying him. There was no "Welcome, have you been here before? Go this way to Hole #1, etc." We were pretty much left to fend for ourselves.
Course is in great shape, greens and fairways for the most part excellent.
Some holes can be challenging, the course is well maintained. Only problem encountered was one of the carts ran out of battery charge. Called the clubhouse, they had a new cart out in minutes - great job!
