Richland Golf Club

Course was in good shape overall, the greens were frozen the entire round which made holding the greens challenging. I would definitely play this course again and will do so in the spring when it warms back up.

This was my first time playing there. It was recommended by someone I was paired with the week before. Nice layout and everything, (including the bunkers), was in very good condition. Extremely friendly staff. No blind shots which is somewhat unusual for that area and surrounding courses. Greens had a lot of undulation and were challenging. I had more than a couple three putts. The pace of play was pretty fast, but it was mid-morning on a Monday, so it was as expected.

There is a nice sports bar in the clubhouse, although I didn't eat there, but others were.

I am definitely heading back soon. Good value for the money and definitely worth the drive (45 minutes from where I live).

The course has pretty scenery, overall good layout, greens roll good. houses do not come into play.

This course used to be called Hollow Creek. It is in transition now with new ownership. While the pro shop is virtually non existent, the course is in great shape! The greens were fantastic! The fairways were immaculate. It is still just as nice to play now as it was before. Rumor has it the owner is going to be putting a lot of money into developing new practice facility and other amenities. Can't wait!

I enjoyed this course. The staff was friendly. The course was in good shape. They do a good job of maintaining the grounds. There are some challenging holes for your delight. I'm sure you will like this course when you play. I recommend it.

I've played this course 5 times now. It has definitely gotten better since their transition. Fairways, rough, traps, and greens are in great condition, but the slope of the greens will add 10 strokes to your game! Trickiest greens I've ever played on! Good luck!

This is a bare bones operation. Low cost to play and low level of service. No starter. Waited to hit every shot due to slow play. Had to finally leave in frustration after playing 13 holes when there were four groups on the 14th hole. As I drove my way in, all 5 closing holes were wide-open. All the groups were piling up on the foursome of one man and three women who were not playing at a reasonable pace. A marshal could have easily remedied the situation for everyone. I guess their philosophy is that if you do not pay much to play, you should not expect much. I will not return anytime soon.

Outstanding is the road-noise from Rte 40 passing by the course, also the local roads, it's a decent course, good layout, good verticality with some tricks and junk, but there is a *lot* of road-noise on parts of the course.

Some houses certainly as it's a neighborhood course but not overwhelmingly so, and it has a very nice clubhouse with a full sportsbar. I would say that this is a very nice neighborhood course ruined by all the road-noise. Also the signage is basically "not there", on some holes they had paper sheets with the hole number.

Greens in great shape! Course overall is well maintained. Great setting nestled in the hills! Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism is that they NEED some signs on the course and tee boxes to direct golfers; and an overall course layout on the scorecard!

challenging, interesting holes. fairways in great shape, greens were fairly fast with a lot of break and in pretty good shape. If you never played before, a rangefinder is handy on the tees to determine whether a driver or a 3 or 5-wood is best. bunkers in good shape. We played from the whites. Lunch was excellent with a good choice of craft drafts but they don't start serving food till 11 a.m. so don't expect breakfast. very friendly staff.

Course was in good condition. Only problem was there wasn't sand in the bunkers. Greens roll great. Fun course. Will definetely be back.

Nice, challenging layout in good condition in Frederick County. Houses line many of the holes but not so close as to be distracting. Greens can be undulating and a bit tricky when chipping on and putting. They could use more ball washers on the course.

Current management has done a great job with the course. It seems to improve each week. The greens were great and fairways were well maintained.

Great value and great sports bar!

First of all the aerated greens are SUPPOSE to be noted on Golf Now and it WAS NOT!! I fault both the golf course and Golf now for this. The fairways were AERATED AS WELL!!!!!!!!

I've played the course before and have enjoyed it thoroughly. This particular tee time was 1010 on a Sunday. The round took 5 1/2 hours and we never saw a marshal. We timed hole 18 when we arrived at tee box and recorded a 21 minute hole. At one point on the course we had 3 groups on a par 5 tee box. All in all it was a wasted Sunday.

My first time playing the course. Very well kept. The greens had been aerated, but that is just part of fall golf. I know the clubfacilities are also very nice, as my oldest son got married here a few years ago.

Fairway was good but the green was under aeriation. Putting was not enjoyable...
