Whiskey Creek Golf Club

First time playing here, played from the Blue tees with a guy who plays here often. Close to 6,500 it played which is about my maximum. Course was in excellent shape, greens rolled nice but were hard to score on for me. Shot plus 11 for first time playing here. I will definitely come back if I am in the area and Golf Now has another great Hot Deal! Love those Hot Deals......

Whiskey Creek is the nicest track in the DMV. Good challenge, well kept, good pace of play, it's got it all.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the first time experience and we're definitely coming back for more. Our experience was just great from the start. Understandable starter, Peter , who offered later tee time at our request was super kind and set the tone for Whiskey Creek during initial meeting. We test drove practice range and putting green and enjoyed premium upscale feel which was delightful experience. The course was amazingly beautiful and had very nice designer architect. Kudos to the maintenance team, the course was managed extremely well. Staff at the clubhouse and marrshalls were very friendly and helpful in keeping the flow of pace. Importantly, the course just beautifully maintained and was first class act. Beautiful course and friendly staff was just warmly inviting. We're coming back for more. Thanks Whiskey Creek!

I believe this is my 4th or 5th time putting up the reviews.

All my previous reviews I’ve stated that greens needed some improvements (bumpy & slow) .. well, guess what folks?? I believe Whiskey finally got my attention! hahaha

..the greens were smooth & faster than before .. two thumbs up !! .. Awesome Job! Please Keep Up the Good Work!

Now comes the Bad News .. O.M.G! What was going on out there that day (Tues, 6/28)! We were waiting on every hole and every shot, too .. it took us more than 5 hr

to complete the round, and one of the guy who was paired with us left after completing the 9 holes (he just took the 9 hole rain check and left .. just couldn’t deal with the Extreme Slow Play .. my buddy and I were considering the same thing but decided not to because it is a 1 hour commute back & forth driving. Anyhow, Whiskey Creel overbooked the tee time that day (sending out golfers every 9 minutes) .. entire golf course was jammed packed!

Please don’t let it happen like this again next time because I noticed plenty of golfers were really frustrated and bit P.O’d, too ..

We have played this course frequently over the past few years. Always a beautiful venue. Yesterday was a terrible day. A shotgun event went out at 11:00 am with 100 players. Our tee time was 11:39 and we had no idea what we were in for. By hole #9 there were 2-3 4-somes on every hole creating max horrific wait times on every shot. There was no Marshall on the course making sure play moved along. By hole # 15 there were 5 groups either on 15 tee, 15 green or 16 tee. We left the course at this point. Went back to clubhouse to report the issues we encountered. They were very nice and apologetic but stated they could not provide us anything for our misery because we played prepaid on TeeOff.com and they did not receive the greens fees. This is a problem and we are unhappy with this outcome.

Whiskey Creek is always a crowd pleaser. It was my first time back in a few years. It is still as nice as it always has been. I think this is one of the best golf courses in Maryland. Almost all the holes are so picturesque. The teeboxes, fairways, and greens are immaculate. The rough is uniform and thick. I cannot wait to go back. Oh yeah, and the food there is AWESOME!

The Course is amazing! It is not very tough even from the tips! I enjoyed every bit of that course. However the the driving range and short game facility are terrible. You hit off bad mats and terrible golf balls. The short game area is all rough with a patch of fairway grass that they call “the green” the putting green doesn’t have real cups which is terrible.

Thế course ís beautiful but the greens are slow. Some par 3 the greens were bumpy . Pace of play was a bit slow maybe due to a tournament they have. With tee times deals it was worth the drive.

Fantastic course and I can’t say enough great things about it. My only wish is that it was a little closer to me so I could play it more often!

If you haven’t played this course you are missing a terrific round of golf. I’ve played Carnoustie, Muirfield, Turnbury, Troon, Prestwick, etc. etc.- it’s definitely worth the drive- you won’t be disappointed.
