About
Riverside Golf Club is appropriately named. The course sits in a floodplain along the Trinity River with water in play on seemingly every hole. This is a combination links-style/traditional layout that is surprisingly difficult for a municipal course. Great holes abound on the Roger Packard layout, which requires the rare combination of length and accuracy when playing from the tips.
Holes 4-6 offer one of the better stretches of golf, starting with a 462-yard par 4 that is cut in the landing area by pesky fairway bunkers, and features a long approach into an elevated green that is surrounded by water and slopes back-to-front. Club down on no. 4 because leaving it short still offers the chance for an up-and-down. No. 5 is a good par 3, especially from the middle tees where it generally plays as a short iron. Watch for the front pin placement, which can leave you with a long downhill putt if the tee shot is too long. Water looms to the right but it takes a bad shank to dunk it in the drink. No. 6 goes 543 yards, doglegging left along the Trinity with water fronting the green. The tee shot must be long and straight, and anything too far right leaves a precarious second shot around the bend.
The back side is the more fun of the two, taking you through good combinations of holes that offer excellent birdie opportunities if you’re on your game. You'll need those birds when you come down the home stretch.

Windy and watery
Great track. Play it before the trinity river swallows it up.
Great course
Greens were real fast, and nice. Challenging course with bunkers strategically placed on the various holes.
Still a fun layout
I have not played this course in 6 years. I still enjoyed it on a 105 degree summer day. Pace was a little slow for a Friday but not terrible. Courseitselfwas green and inviting.
Course was great, Riverside, but GolfNow another story
Instead of refunding your money if you cancel before 24+ hours you give a rain check. I only.golf primarily on Father's Day, so your going have my money for a year or how ever rain check.is good for till I loose my money.

Greens and Fairways in Great Shape
Greens in very good shape, fairways, while still nice, are getting a little crispy. Need more rakes in sand traps. Overall, great value for money
Very enjoyable day
Other than the 110 degree heat index, I had a fantastic time here. It’s a little wonky how far away the driving range is behind the parking lot, but facilities were great overall. Free Cold towel at the turn was a life-saver. Lots of cold water available on the course too. Course was in very good shape, no complaints at all. Staff was friendly and they offered to let me go off 35 mins early which was awesome considering the heat. The guys I paired up with were very friendly and offered tips on the course since this was my first outing here. Eagle on #2 will endear thus course to me forever!
Great shape
Course was in very good shape. Some very challenging holes, but also a couple of short, easy par 4s. Lots of bunkers on this course. Was lucky to be paired with somebody who knew the course. Greens were challenging and very well kept. Looking forward to playing here again!
WOW
We loved the course, but, as beginning golfers it is way over out present abilities. The sand traps balloned our scores. We will come back at some point though. K
Solid Course, interesting layout
Fun course. Greens were in good shape and fast. Pace of play was a little slow because of two groups that were in front. Would definitely play again and recommend.
Short but challenging
On paper sounded like it was quite short, but lots of bunkers and lots of undulations make this quite challenging. Overall great value for money.
