Golf Club at Cinco Ranch
About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

Nice course with some very tough greens
I'm a beginner golfer. I've only played four courses. I would rank them in order: Pecan Grove, Cinco Ranch, Longwood, Legendary Oaks.
Cinco Ranch is a nice course and is well maintained. Greens were probably the best I have played so far but also the most difficult. Some quite steep and very fast. I look forward to playing again.
I like to walk but back nine is not too good for walking. Especially long distance from 9th green to 10th tee box.
Goat Ranch
Fairways were dry, bare, and rock hard.
Greens covered in pitch marks and bare. Impossible to hit a putt online.
Two or three groups per hole. No marshal. 5 1/2 hr round.
If ur a hack and don’t care about ur score it’s ur course. Layout has always been great but the conditions were pathetic. They’ve obviously become greedy and the course has suffered. What a shame. Green meadows in old katy used to be in better shape.
Too Pricey for Conditions
The Staff was amazing, really friendly. The price to golf vs the dormant conditions was excessive.
A good course but too slow
I enjoyed the game, but I bought 18 holes at 4:20 PM and could only really play 9 holes. The pace was too slow.
6 hour round
Front nine took 3 hours. Marshall came by and said he would get the slow group moving. Back nine pace of play didn’t change. Started at 12:50. Didn’t even finish by the time the sun went down at 6. No bathrooms anywhere on the course. Greens are in good shape. Rest of it sucks. Not worth your time or money
Best weather possible for a game
Overall in good shape for how much play this course gets. Greens were is good shape and fast.
Cinco
I’ve played this course a few times over the years since I live down the street. Course is in good shape, greens are normally pretty quick, and the layout is fun. It rained pretty hard the night before but the course drains very well, overall great round.
Solid track - perfect greens
Solid track. Amazing greens. Will be playing again.
Over scheduling of tee times creating backup
Overbooking of Ted time causing backups. I had a 2:30 tee time . I only was able to squeeze in 9 holes but was scheduled h go of 18
