About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

The review title should speak for itself. Took us six hours to play a round of golf. Legit had to wait to hit every shot from hole 4 until we finished. Also doesn’t help the staff was awful. Kids inside the pro shop are unprofessional along with the old man sitting inside the starter shack. Will not be going back.

Mid May afternoon at Cinco Ranch GC
Course is in fair condition. Greens must have been recently aerated (too sandy. Pace of play was annoyingly slow. And starter remains as rude as always. The gentleman at the pro shop was very polite, professional and courteous.

Course is in great condition
Fairways are fantastic, greens are amazingly neat, pace of play is perfect. It a very good course. A bit pricey on prime hours
