About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

Mid May afternoon at Cinco Ranch GC
Course is in fair condition. Greens must have been recently aerated (too sandy. Pace of play was annoyingly slow. And starter remains as rude as always. The gentleman at the pro shop was very polite, professional and courteous.

Course is in great condition
Fairways are fantastic, greens are amazingly neat, pace of play is perfect. It a very good course. A bit pricey on prime hours

Parking issues
Course conditions were great and pace was moving well. Parking lot was very full because of two events going on.

Big event
Parking was at a premium cause of two events. Staff was outstanding. Course was in excellent condition. Pace was good. Enjoyable afternoon.

Disappointed
I was excited to play this course. I had heard for many years how wonderful this course was. I was quickly disappointed by the conditions of this course. The ground was so hard you could barely get your tee in on the tee boxes. The fairways were just as hard with a lot of spots where no grass was growing. I will say that the sand traps had plenty of soft sand to hit out of. And the greens were in great condition, very nice and quick. Getting to the green was the challenge here.!!
With all the golf courses in and around Houston, I wouldn’t spend 4-5 hours of your day at this course.
