About
From the tips, Kings Creek can play particularly tough because of the prevailing winds off the shores of Cedar Creek Lake. However, on calm days this course can be had, since the layout is fairly basic and features water on only six holes. In the late 1980s, the course became known for its improving condition, and that reputation has held true over the years.
The front nine is shorter and a little easier than the front, its toughest hole being the 200 -yard No. 3 over water. No. 14 typifies the longer back: a 576-yard marathon with water on either side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Dallas, take I-175 south, then turn right on Hwy. 274. The course is 2 miles down the road.

Not crowded
Best features are not crowded, not expensive, friendly staff.
The course is rough, not well manicured.
Every green had dirt craters and bald spots.
Terrible putting conditions.
Was informed that a price increase was coming, this will tip the scale in a negative direction if the conditions don't improve.
It's an older course, but it checks out.
Kings creek is a hit and miss course that's well worth your time and money. The tee boxes and fairways are nice, the golf carts are nice, the course has a good layout, decently stocked bar, and good food. The greens are more brown, the cart path needs repairs, the bunkers lack sand, and a couple of the fairways are so bumpy that you need an off road golf cart to traverse them. The price reflects these issues though, it's cheap fun and has my recommendation.

Great course for the money!
Great course for the money! $29 for 18 holes was a great price for this course in my opinion! Scrambled with a group of buddies and had a great time playing this course! Greens were good for the most part and the course has bathrooms through out it which is a major plus! Will be returning soon!!

Kings Creek
It's my home course (. 5 minutes away). Staff is always courteous. Enjoy playing there. Would like the greens to be better, and they have seemed to have given up on the bunkers. But the cost to play is a tad cheaper and they are open on Mondays!

I love this course, it’s always nice to play here. There is never a wait and the people are very friendly
Course needs some work
Sand traps were in horrible condition. Course delayed for over an hour sure to the freezing dew on the ground. That could be listed in the course details, especially this time of year.

Sub Par course
One of those sad country golf courses that has too much work that needs to be done. I doubt the course will ever return to its hay days… for the amount of revenue the course generates, its probably not enough to fix it up. Kind of sad.

Fairways need to be cut shorter. Greens in decent shape. But need more work

Terrible Greens
Fairways are fine but the greens are terrible. Weeds growing in them on every hole. Worst thing is that the temporary green on hole 13 is the best green on the whole course. Not worth the money.

Terrible
5 stars for being the worst course. The greens aren’t green. The fairways grass is so long you’d lose your ball in the middle of the fairway. The ground was so hard, there were visible cracks in the earth. Cart paths looked like they just barely survived an earthquake. No on-course refreshments. I honestly can’t think of a single reason why I would go back. Absolute trash.

Needs some TLC
This course has potential but current it sits in rough shape. The layout is fun, utilizing the terrain really well, providing players with a variety of different shots. However, that where my positive experience stalls out. It is a small town course that doesn't get the TLC it needs and it shows. I know there was bad weather in the DFW area and most courses are struggling with their non-bentgrass greens, but it is like they aren't even trying. 16 of 18 are unputtable, so many bad spots and bumps, hard as concrete, just not fun to play on. Hopefully fixing them will be a priority. All the bunkers are ground under repair in my opinion and aren't playable. Another weird thing is how many of the fairways on the back nine are rutted and it makes for almost every shot to be a crazy uneven lie, it is so bad driving the carts on them isn't recommended.

Sloppy wet
I can understand the course being sloppy after rain, however the poor conditions of the greens and lack of upkeep on the fairways is really bad.
These are the worst greens in the area and the fairways need attention.

Awkward Staff
The clubhouse staff is rude. The front nine is decent. The back nine is horrible. No marshal keeping pace up either so you will wait on huge groups most days.
