The course is in very good condition. The greens were excellent.

I know it’s early in the season but there was no control of the tee times. People over their time limits waiting for last people to arrive. Etc. pushed back my tee time over 25 min.

Tee boxes are in desperate need of repair, I played from the gold tees (tips) and it wasn’t taken care of.

The only issues of the entire experience were the greens being very hard and fast most pitches would not settle on them. But great open course very playable for any level of golfer

Condition: The greens are actually great, some fairyways are too. A lot of areas are bald and dead, mostly off fairways, and some fairways are dead,,, but it froze recently so thats expected.

Amenities: no real food available, NOT ENOUGH RESTROOMS - Theres a portapot and a couple brick ones but it may be 4-5 holes between them. pro shop is well stocked and staff is friendly.

This is the best deal going. I use to play this course years ago and back then it was the typical muni with bare fairways and patchy greens. Things have really improved since then! The greens are in perfect condition, nice and green, rolling true and just soft enough for iron/wedges to stay on the green and get backspin. The fairways were all nice and green also, not painted. I have recently played courses costing 2-3 times as much as their greens/fairways were not nearly as in the same quality condition as here. I would highly recommend that you give this course a spin. I only have two complaints which have nothing to do with the course itself but rather the operations. They did not have a starter which resulted in two groups that had tee times after ours trying to jump in ahead of us just because they saw the No. 1 tee box open. The second issue is that in the pro shop they have a small snack bar listing hot dogs, sandwiches etc to order but they did not have any prepared for the day. If you are not going to have food available then you should state that on the board.

Not bad course, greens were very nice shape and fast.

Hard fairways and windy day so ball runs out and can get into trouble areas easily. No rakes or sand bottles so that affects course conditions.

Some nice holes but also have to contend with tee shots on some holes driving to the next tee.

It is a bit of a drive for me so would not play it often, only if I had planned to be in the area.

Some nice holes on this course and enjoyed playing. Not in the greatest shape.

I have played this course before and generally it’s a nice municipal course. We had a 12:07 tee time with a cart. Due to a lack of carts, we didn’t get started until 12:25. Further, there are no Marshalls pushing the pace of play. At one time, there were four groups on a par 4. Lastly, the starter was a bit rude to us.

This course is good for the Killeen area, but not good enough for the price and hassle.

This is a well taken care of course! It has an awesome and challenging layout that will continually test you!
