About

Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.

Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).

Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Pace of lay

To many player trying to play golf and they can’t hit the ball more than 150 feet not yards and they are teeing off from the blue tee box so the pace of play is horrible

Courses need to stop 8 minute between tee times

When you got foursome that can’t the the ball and are over the fairway looking for balls for 10 minutes it starts backing up

It’s a know ending cycle for the whole round

Poor management

Great course and nice people BUT terribly slow as we had to wait on every hole as numerous 5 balls were playing in a NOON day competition that's apparently a daily thing- this spoilt the day- should not be allowed anywhere

Great course

I play this course a lot it has some hard holes that demand good shots but some holes you can take advantage of with good shots pace of play is generally good I highly recommend playing this course

Place of play

Why are you allowing 6 people to play as a group

The group of six were all over the fairways and then I had a twosome in front of me that were also slow .

I went ahead of them and never had to wait for anyone till I got to the 2 hole

The management need to come up with a rule to play list to give you when you check in

Eight minute intervals is way to short it needs to be at least 12 minutes

People need to learn that they are not the only one playing
