Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Hot and Fast
a brief early morning shower had the fairways and greens looking good. But the sunshine, heat and occasional gust of wind (in addition to the steady breeze) made for dry and firm fairways and greens. A fun day on the course.
Excellent course
The course is extremely well maintained. Greens are flawless and fairways are in great condition. The marshals continually check the course to keep players away from greens and on the cart paths.
Plays well after heavy rains
Played right after heavy rains in the area. Cart path only but the course drained very well. Not too difficult walking.
Greens were a little slow but with all the rain, just fine. Live the course and staff.
Wonderful public course!
Course is very well maintained and has an even better staff!
Fun easy course!
My son and I were paired with 2 single guys. The course was busy so a little slow out there. We didn’t mind as we were out enjoying ourselves. Course was in good shape and greens were perfect to me.
Just love playing this course!!
