Delaware Springs Golf Course
About
Named after the springs that snake through the layout, Delaware Springs Golf Course is a scenic links-style track that is one of the better values in Texas golf. The low prices and friendly service, combined with a picturesque and challenging golf course, make this a Hill Country favorite.
Architects Dave Axland and Dan Proctor built a natural-looking course that fits the terrain perfectly. The course is nestled into the rolling hills and oak trees along the Highland Lakes, playing 6,891 yards from the tips. During your round you’ll encounter lush fairways frequently loaded with bunkers, large greens that slope severely, and numerous bump and run shots. The designers added a few original touches, such as the descriptive Scottish names for each hole (the 18th is called "Hame" for the home hole).
Another interesting design twist involved placing the signature hole as the opener. Playing 504 yards to a par 5, no. 1 is best attacked with an iron into the left side of a sloping, tree-lined fairway. The creek cuts into the landing area, making it a testy tee shot. The second shot must bend around the dogleg to the left and over the creek, and the approach is into the green shaded by large trees on the right.

Windy…. Yet a pleasure as always
Played during a windy Texas late morning/early afternoon; which was as pleasurable as always. Think that the wind and potential rain kept the “fair weather” golfers home… thanks y’all.
Where are the Marshalls? (Competent one)
The group of three ahead of our 12:36 tee time should never be allowed on this course ever again. They totally ignore the Cart Path Only holes and even on the Par 3's!! They never raked the bunkers. They would hit three of four tee balls on holes where they shanked/sliced.
We told a woman Marshall and she essentially ignored us as she kept going in the opposite direction. Other than that experience and the high winds the course was great condition as always.
Love This Course
I've played this course for many years. It is a great value. The course is quiet with many deer acting as spectators. The pace of play was great this time. I recommend this course to any golfer - it is well worth it!
Hidden gem
This place is in the middle of nowhere. But it is well worth a drive. The course was beautiful, the golf was amazing. The greens are in great condition The fairways are open scattered with beautiful trees, but I happen to hit every single one.... But the pace of play was incredible we were there on a Friday and never ran into anyone or got held up. The food and drinks are great. And they're pro shop has some really good deals. If I could give six stars to this I would. I'll definitely be using this as my go to place.
Etiquette
A group of 5 where n front of us. According to the two Marshall's we encountered said their group were members and council members. They must have been new because they did not understand etiquette OR they considered themselves privileged and it did not apply to them. They drove the carts up to the greens and on holes that were clearly marked no carts. Neither Marshall's were willing to say anything to them as I asked repeatedly. It ruined my experience and will not return until the Marshall's can grow a pair. Way to go staff!
Nice layout
HUGE GREENS, LOTS OF FUN, SOME BLIMD SHOTS. FAST TRACK
Under Construction
Am an avid fan of Deleware Springs, and have played it often these last few years. The maintenance crew continues to make awesome strides in course conditions. Thanks….
This day though there seemed to be an extreme amount of trees and shrubs being cut down, and number 17 had a construction jackhammer in the faraway, and was set up as a par 3. I understand the need to make these updates; yet, found being charged full price for the round irritating.
I look forward to returning once construction is completed; as I enjoy the track and employees immensely.
Great Beginner Round
We played a fantastic round with my son and two new friends we were paired with. The course was in great shape and it was a fantastic experience for his first 18 holes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We came over from Liberty Hill as this is the best course close to us. We will be back a lot in 2026.
Another good day!
Fairways and greens were firm but pretty smooth. Made for some great drives but difficult to stop the ball on the greens. Just a fun mix of ecstasy and fruition, a good golf day for this duffer.
Delaware springs!
Course is always in fantastic shape, fun yet challenging course! Definitely recommended
Great course
Amazing course kept in outstanding condition, the greens are in really good shape/ really hard greens which posed a challenge with some really fun par 5's. The fairways and the greens were beautiful. Definitely worth the drive for the price.
Only downside is the driving range isn't the best and the buckets of balls are really small.
