Hidden Falls Golf Club
About
Hidden Falls Golf Club is a Leon Howard design that opened in 1974. The course cuts through a pecan grove on the front and what seems like an ocean of water on the back, creating two totally different golf experiences. Howard uncharacteristically left out water on the tight, pecan-lined front, with the wet stuff in play on only one hole. However this one pond plays a role in the best hole on the course, no. 4, which features a pond and waterfall in the landing area off the tee. No. 4 is rated as the most difficult. The more open back nine is dominated by water. No. 10 starts off with a drive of 200-yards-plus over the pond fronting the tee. A small creek comes into play on the next three holes, which lead you to the other signature hole, no. 14. Water lines the left side of the 14th, and the approach is over a small pond. If that's not enough, the final three holes all feature water in play off the tee.

Course looking great
Love playing here. The recent rain has everything green and the greens are in good shape overall with the Bermuda coming in. Fairways are great and the course is such a fun layout. Gonna be back again soon with friends and family.
Great time !
Great pace of place, course conditions and staff /Service. There is no club house at the moment due to renovations. Still a great course to golf, will be back.
Poor conditions
I felt the course was not maintained as well as the last couple of years I played there. It seems that since the city took over the course they are concentrating more on their $7.2mil community center over course maintenance. The fairways had not been cut in at least a week, the cups were mashed down on the edges, you couldn’t tell where the rough started and the fairways ended. I’ve played this course in the past at the same time of the year experiencing much better conditions
Fun course
Extreme renovations going on to infrastructure so the amenities are limited - having said that, the course is in good shape, the staff is friendly and accommodating and the pace of play was great! Good value for a friendly round!
Construction Issues at this point in time
Greens need attention; short term work arounds, due to construction. Fairways play well.

Hidden falls golf
Great experience, friendly staff. Under construction and remodeling, but staff was very helpful in working around the changes. Great experience.
Another good day on the course.
Course was in good shape. Firm fairways made for some great drives, but made chipping a little more of a challenge. Current construction/renovation of clubhouse did not disrupt services at all.
Great Value
The course and greens were in good/great shape after handling multiple freezes in back-to-back weeks. The driving range, chipping area and putting green were a great added value in the preparation for our round. Overall a hidden gem for a great price.
Hidden Falls Is A Hidden Gem!
This course is awesome! Right from the pro shop I experienced a friendly welcome and shared some laughs with some gentlemen in the shop. The fellow running it advised me that there would be 4 4-somes teeing off ahead of me but if I could make on out to the 1st hole, go right ahead. This proved to be very helpful advice and kept my round below 4 hours!
The course has a great layout which challenges you to play skillfully which I appreciate because golf is a game of skill! The front 9 makes you think it’s gonna be smooth sailing but the back 9 is LOADED with challenging holes! LOTS OF WATER but the layout plays well as long as you chose your clubs carefully and know your distances.
The course conditions were pretty good but I would like to see some improvement on some of the tee boxes as a few were heavy sanded but the greens were good and the fairways weren’t bad either. Overall I would DEFINITELY play this course again! It was worth the hour plus drive from Austin especially given the price and not to mention, free range balls are included with your greens fee and the range is grass which I prefer because mats can be too forgiving when warming up to play a round. Looking forward to getting back out to Hidden Falls again very soon!
Bring extra balls for the back nine
Water and blind shots. Fun, would play again.
