About
Located in the town of Kingsland on the shores of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club features 18 holes set in a charming, hill country in the heart of the Highland Lakes. The course was originally built in 1968, winds through scenic Hill Country property full of oak trees and red granite rock outcroppings. From many points, Packsaddle Mountain, one of the Hill Country's highest points, is in view from many spots on the course.
Lighthouse was formerly named Packsaddle Golf Club until the name changed in the fall of 2011 when new owners Rick & Mercy Howe purchased the bankrupt property and revitalized the golf course. Part of the enhancement was the construction of a brand new lighthouse at the clubhouse. In addition on on-course enhancements, Lighthouse constructed a handful of two-bedroom condos for stay-and-play packages and longer term winter homes.
In addition to the golf course, the facility also features a driving range, short game area and a full restaurant, bar and banquet facility.

Great Course
I have been playing the Lighthouse for years. The course is in the best condition I have ever seen there.
Course in solid shape
Course is in really good shape. Greens are fast but read true. No bad spots. They’ve done a good job all summer keeping this course highly playable.
Beautiful hill country golf course
Lighthouse golf course was a enjoyable play golf course. Course was in good shape from the tee boxes fairways and greens. The course have good character with dog legs holes. Holes with challenging approach shots. Some risk reward opportunities. Really was enjoyable play. I will return if I am ever in this area again.
Lighthouse Course
Course is in excellent condition. Signage could be a little better , got lost on a couple of hole but overall a great experience.
Best Deal In The Hill Country
I've played this course 3 times, thanks to incredible great pricing for a course in this good of shape.
The staff is nice, friendly and helpful.
The pace is always good.
It takes me over an hout to get here from Austin, but I usually pair it with a something else I need to do inearby. But it is a pretty drive.
I'll be back.
Great Course
I would recommend this course. It has some challenging holes and some really fun holes.
Fun course
First time playing this course. We got lucky as several weeks of rain did wonders for the dry grass. Fun course and a very good Golf Now price. Some of the holes were "blind" , but after your first round you'll be ready on the second. Greens seemed fast (to us). Play it, you'll like it.
Tough but fair
It’s a challenge course with lots of OB but rewards solid fairway shots with great approaches to the greens. Staff are always great to chat with.
