About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

Good not great.
For the discounted price, this course isn’t bad. It needs a little TLC but overall in decent condition. There are ZERO sand traps on the course. The water holes are dried up lake beds. The greens on 2, 3 and 4 are elevated and challenging! Greens were in really good shape and challenging.
Pace of play on the front was quick. Once we hit the 11th hole there was a 6 cart back up (1 foursome and 1 twosome).
Overall this was a pleasant experience. I won’t go out of my way to play here again but I would not mind playing here again.

Nice value
The greens were in decent shape and rolled smooth. In fact the greens are in better shape than any other part of the course. Tee boxes and fairways are very patchy. The value is good The quality of course matches the price. My green fee was $18 before tax and fees.

Never disappointed

Good Value - Fun Round
Good value course, nice condition, a little slow play (which could have been just busy at noon on a Saturday). Played once before in early spring when it seemed not as 'kept up' but was better this time. Would definitely play again.

Love this course
Been my regular course for about 10+ years ...In great shape ...weeds are getting under control...greens are clean hard and fast...these guys are doing great..keep up the good work...almost a hole in one today!!! Best round ever (for me) 6 par and 2 birdie 81!!! Yea!!!

Good Course....BUT
Great course but the day i came which was Halloween there was a frost delay so everyone was backed up. The course was great but there was a weird infestation of bees all over the course. So bad they were getting in my drinks.

A good find
Fun course. Greens are in great shape. Has challenges but would recommend to all handicaps
My Go-To Course
I personally love Country View and have played here numerous times. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who feels that they want to experience a bit of a challenge whilst also having fun just playing the game. The people in the pro shop are nice and the course has some beautiful holes. The only thing I dislike about it is the train tracks that run alongside a couple of the holes. Other than that, one of my favorites for when I am in the area.
Disclaimer: The reason my round was only $25 was because I played after 3 PM. It did include a golf cart.

Greens are in great shape
Golf is rounding into great shape now that permanent GM is there. Greens are returning to old form, fast and true. Introduced more ruff before out of bounds, still getting ise to it. Course is heading back in right direction

First timer - will come back
A short course with water everywhere. The water on the front 9 isn't really in play. The second nine had some great hazards. They have elevated the greens on each hole ~ 20 feet. So, you have to come in high and stop the ball. Or, you will be in the weeds.
