Waxahachie Golf Club
About
The Waxahachie Golf Club plays to a par 70, 6,156 yards from the tips, and is famous for its blind doglegs and hilly terrain. The design incorporates a good combination of golf holes, both long and short par 4s, and especially the solid par 5s that all play over 500 yards from the tips. The opening hole is one of the easiest–a short par 3 that is one of the better ways to start a round. But the next hole is the number one handicap, a 513-yard par 5.
Getting there : From I-35 south, take the Business 287 exit and turn left. Drive a short distance to the course, and look for the entrance on the left side of the street.

Needs woork
The course has done a lot of work to restore the greens, however there is still much to do on the fairways. The potential for this course to be something special is there but it will take more work and investment by the forces that be. Look forward to see if they continue on an upward trend
Eh
It’s a course… but if it wasn’t close I’d never play here. It’s roughhhhhhh, and they charge the same as much nicer courses in the area, just don’t have competition in Waxahachie or midlothian.
Greens are Looking better!
The work that they have put into the greens are starting to payoff! I love their Course layout! It's challenging but forgiving. I also play there because everyone who works there are the nicest people!
Greens are green but that's it.
Had a 830 tee time. Management let about 20 members take off at their own will from the first tee ahead of us. It was a miserable round. I should have just refunded right then but the kids wanted to play. Ill never go back. To top it off the course is in terrible condition. They have improved the greens by making them green but that's all. Fairways are goat fields.
Waste of money
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this golf course absolutely earned it. From the moment we arrived, it was clear the place was in rough shape—literally. The fairways looked like they hadn’t been watered in weeks, with patches of dirt big enough to lose a ball in. The greens were even worse: uneven, bumpy, and so slow it felt like putting through wet carpet. Staff was nice but you would have to pay me to play at this course again
Poor conditions and poor amenities
If you want sand dunes and tall grass in your greens with concrete for tee box’s then this is the place for you. Spend the extra 10-20 bucks for a actual golf course so you can have a fun experience.
Great course for the price
The course is nice greens are a little rough but great course for the price. Staff is super friendly, overall good course.
Won’t be back
3hrs to play front 9 coarse in very rough shape greens were terrible. Cart girl never made it to the front nine so 3 hrs in heat with only drinks if you bought in club house before the round. No Marshall to maintain speed of play. We said screw it after the front and called it a day went to Buffalo Wild Wings for beer and Golden Tee instead.
WOW un believably CRAPPY!!
I can’t believe people play here. When they can go 10 miles further and play on grass and real greens!! Fairways aren’t mowed 6 or 7 temporary greens that are better than the non temporary greens !
Good luck on finding someone to cook you something….
Stay away from the mosquito pool!!! WOW!!!
IT SUCKS!!!!
6-7 TEMPORARY GREENS!! I lost a sleeve of pv1s IN THE FAIRWAY!! Weeds are sooo hi!!
I thought I lost a wheel ina ditch on 18 under the trees !, it’s NOT WORTH 26$ or the 35$ weekly fee!!
The temporary greens are BETTER than the GREENS they DON’T have temp greens!!!
This place is a joke!!!
I can’t understand why anyone would would play more than once here!!!
The management has NO CLUE AS TO THE CONDITION OF THE COURSE!,
Drive the next 10 miles to lacncater … Country view.
The greens were extremely slow, and poor condition. Fairways were less than average. Pace of play was very slow, no marshals. Tee boxes were also poor to average. Would not play here again.
Okay for what it is.
The course itself is actually a pretty and fun course. It just needs more attention. The Fairways are green but patchy and need more attention. The Greens are okay in places, but patchy and sandy. On at least 5 greens, I moved my ball over so we didn't have to putt through a sandy low spot to get to the hole. They have a lot of temporary greens set up to I assume give the greens a break. That being said, if you can get a hot deal that is fairly inexpensive and you just want to find a course to go have fun on, this fits the bill. I've played it twice, just because it is convenient to me distance wise. But the prices is a bit steep for the condition of the course. I always have fun playing on this course, because the the course is actually a fun course. I hope they put some more effort into maintaining the grass, because it has a lot of potential.
