Country View Golf Club

Overall had a good time. Staff was extremely friendly and glad we were there. Plenty of shade on the front, not much on the back. The service cart was out, so no refreshments out on the course. Had to skip a hole because of extremely slow foursome in front of us. Multiple groups had to skip by. Course was in good shape, greens and tee boxes were fine. We were laughing by the end of our round because of the lack of trash cans on the premises. Our carts were a mess by the end of the round and the only can we could find was at the cart return.

First time playing. The staff was absolutely amazing!!! The golfer we were paired with was super nice! The course was great for couples play. We had a blast! Drinks were an excellent price!! We will go again!!

Wow, I think the super positive reviews are fakes. This course is like playing in the back country. The rough is really rough, the tee boxes lack care, and some holes you are hitting over messy jungle. The layout on a few holes is impossible to navigate and there wasn’t much care off the fairways in any sense. We paid $43 each which was outrageous for this course. We have better public courses in Dallas for $1-$2/hole. the only good part was the greens which were actually really well cared for. I wouldn’t waste my golf money you can pay similar for much nicer courses.

First time playing this course, we really enjoyed the course. It keeps you in your toes with trees and water along the way. You will have tk be strategic with your plays, hence why we enjoyed it so much.

Staff was extremely friendly and willing to help. Ariel was SUPER helpful and willing to go out if her way to help with booking issues. Overall, golfnow and the course was an overall success.

I’ve been playing at this course for 10 years or more. There was a time when they changed ownership a few times and the conditions were running down. But over the last few years they really stepped it up in the condition has gotten much better it’s becoming a great course again.

Great course, liked the layout. Good par 4s, only 2 par 5s.

17 is tricky. 4 of the 4s are drivable.

Course calls for strategic play. Use your hybrid on some short doglegs, and tight fairways.

Definitely play again.

First time playing this golf course. The men in the pro shop and the starter/marshal were helpful and friendly. The golf course was in great shape. The holes are not long in length but with elevated tee boxes and elevated greens and narrow fairways this golf course is challenging. Plan on losing a few balls but the golf course is in good shape and fair if you are a good golfer 18 handicap and lower. If you drive the ball wild off the tee then you will lose a lot of balls. Fairways are not wide open spaces. Golf course is scenic and I want to play it more.

I’ve played this course about 100 times over the years and I’m never disappointed. This last time, the greens were in probably one of the best conditions I’ve seen, and the course in general was well-maintained. The rough was... well, rough. Speaks for itself. This is worth your time and I would highly recommend giving it a shot if you haven’t.

In my last review, I mentioned that the sides of the t boxes had not been mowed. They did but did a very sloppy job. How hard is it to mow the tall weeds.

Also, how can a golf course Not have Water? Not good.

Kudos to the staff at Country View, they are doing an excellent job with course during this pandemic. My only complaint is the lack of ball washers. Please add ball washers on every hole or at least every other hole. Also the pace of play was great. I attribute this to most golfers having their own carts. I love this current policy of golfers having their own carts unless they live in the same household. I hope this is a permanent policy!!!

Tee time was 9:04 Saturday morning and they got us going right on time. Single rider per golf cart and the tee times were set up to allow the group in front to reach the #2 tee before we got started. As a result, pace of play was excellent - we never saw the group in front of us or the group behind us.

Tee boxes are a little bumpy and hard but they all have grass and serve their purpose well. Fairways were in decent shape and greens looked great for a city course. Outside of the fairways the growth is getting a little tall and thick and could use some mowing but under the current covid slow down, I would say that the team at Country View is doing a pretty good job of providing an enjoyable round of golf for their guests. If you have never played at this facility, overall the course is fairly short but challenging. Several tight fairways and strategically placed dog legs place a premium on shot making, but not so difficult that it would discourage even a beginner golfer. This course is a 50 minute drive for me to get to but I will be back as soon as the weather and my schedule allows - it got the best of me a couple of times and I'm eager to redeem myself.
