About
While it hasn't received as much publicity as the other Hill Country tracks since it opened around 1990, Crystal Falls Golf Club is definitely worthy of praise. Highlighted by one of the greatest par 3s in Texas and some outstanding topography, this is one of those courses you'll want to play at least once, if only for the views. In addition to the scenery, the main thing everyone talks about here is the severely sloping fairways that provide problems for those who hit the ball left-to-right. The famous par 3 in question is the 192-yard 11th, featuring a phenomenal view and a 200-yard drop to the green. Club selection is a crap-shoot at best, and the green is surrounded by mounds.

Nice layout in the HIll country of Austin Texas
Played Sunday morning in a threesome. This is a VERY hilly course with great views and lots of topography changes. That said, it also creates some issues with both the layout and the golf. You must curve your ball INTO the slope of the fairway on several holes or a good shot into the middle of the fairway will end up off of it. Greens roll fairly fast, which I love but you better know where to leave the ball on your approach shot. Staff is friendly. Nice carts with GPS, and a new practice facility. The only negative of the new practice area is the lack of a good short game area. All in all I like the course!

Best greens
Love this course! Doesn’t even feel like your in texas. So much extreme topography. Fun and challenging. The only thing I would change is that there is no bunkers. And you could definitely use some on a few of the holes. When you land on certain parts of the fairway you can roll off cliffs or in to creeks. Theres great opportunity for there to be bunkers in certain zones where it could catch your ball and stop it from going ob cause alot of good shots just roll OB

A windy challenge for a new golfer
I had the wonderful opportunity to play a round of golf with my 14 year old grand-daughter, it was her first round of 18 holes. We were paired up with another twosome which made her a little nervous but she played extremely well considering it was her first time playing with people she didn't know and the very windy conditions that day. She shot her first par on hole #8 and made some truly awesome approach shots throughout the round. We will work on our short game and be back for another round very soon! The Staff were very friendly and made her feel at ease which is a major reason we look forward to playing at Crystal Falls GC.

One of my favorites
I've played Crystal Falls Golf Course many times and it is one of my favorites. The restaurant and bar has lots of options at reasonable prices. The course is challenging, but fair. It is usually in good shape, and it provides lots of variety with the shots you'll need to hit. I wish pace of play was quicker, but most courses are very busy these days.

Great Course!
The course was in great condition for the winter! Looking forward to playing in the summer! Greens were green! A good challenging course if you like TARGET golf, layout was nice and the views were nice! Staff was super friendly, from check in, starters and club house! Well done guys!

Getting Closer
Played here for the first time in 1990, occasionally over the years it’s continued to slowly evolve. The greens are great. The fairways are dormant and hard. I don’t know how to hit balls that sit so down, but we’ve had zero rain for a couple months. Good staff, new carts fantastic, range great. Plus Experience!

Very nice!
Excellent value! Great course! The pace was great! Always a treat to play golf in January! So glad this course was availble for the time we were in the area! Plan on returning in the spring when the bounce and roll will not effect play as much! Nothings flat so you really have to plan your shots! Will make this a regular stop on our hill country golf outings! For sure!
