Avery Ranch Golf Club

This course is punishing and not fun. I'm not sure how the reviews of this course are so high unless everyone who plays is a scratch golfer besides me. Literally every hole is houses one side, woods or cliff on the other side. The landing zones are tight and even if you manage to find the fairway you are blocked out by trees. Small greens with bunkers on the side of cliff. Its literally designed for you to lose a box a balls per round. How are people liking this course? I guess its because it's aesthetically pleasing to some degree, but generally find myself in a slow pace of play getting out of rhythm then hooking or slicing a ball either into woods or house all day. Its not fun golf, its really an exercise in masochism to play. a round here.

First of all I've played this course many times in the last 20 years and generally has been fine today however I brought extra business with me in the form of a fourth member for my tee time and in exchange for the extra business Avery threw their Dynamic pricing program decided to penalize me for adding more business by charging me $15 extra for that fourth spot for my tee time. Bringing my total for the day with two boxes of golf balls to $705. Now that's not an exorbitant amount of money for a nice golf course but this was not a nice experience the course was lackluster the bunkers were horrible and unusable the pace of play was awful the only time I ever saw a marshall was sitting under a tree not making sure groups were keeping the pace of play. I am not typically one to complain but I very much felt like I overpaid for my experience today and to charge extra for extra business is insane I will not make that mistake again nor will I be booking any further two times at Avery Ranch anytime soon.

Solid golf course. Good condition and handsome layout. The bunkers were bad. No beverage cart service. Overall it was good. Not great. Falconhead is overall better.

Overall good course but the bunkers are an absolute embarrassment. Worse I've ever seen, and unconscionable for a course at this price point. Rest of the conditions were above average.

I’ve played Avery 4-5 times and it’s always been consistently really nice. Course is in excellent condition and the price is more than fair.

I’ve played here probably 75ish times and the course is in as good of shape as always. I still think it’s stupid that they charge $18 for a medium of range balls. But at least the afternoon tee times are so stupid expensive and I was able to play a full 18.

Should be a municipal public course for $70. But it charges $190 and the course is not in great shape. Definitely would never play here again. Not worth the cost

Basically a decent public municipal course with a country club pricing. $190 for a round for a $70 course. Tee boxes worn down and sowing dirt with not much grass. Greens soggy. Not worth the price at all!!

I had a fantastic day at Avery Ranch. The only thing I didn't like was they have mats for the ranch but the course is beautiful and the staff was very nice as well. Look forward to playing there again.
