Point Venture Golf Club

Sweet nine hole course with beautiful views, hills, and myriad trees. One caution: you must be patient. Many singletons and doubles slow play to a crawl at many points on the course. Why folks don’t graciously invite a couple to join them to make a foursome is beyond me! This would certainly improve the playing experience.

While the day was chilly the round was enjoyable. The first and second holes require some climbing which got the blood flowing and we were more comfortable from then on. The course was in good shape and is perfect for seniors walking.

This is a fun Course! No sand traps. No water hazards (well, you have to work hard to hit the one water hazard).

This course is fantastic for beginners and intermediate players.

Where else can you play 18 holes with a cart for $20?!?

Great place to play. Green green grass from Lake Travis water. Great place to teach your kids how to play.

Let's start by saying the layout and the views were great. The holes were generally well designed, although a few were a bit tight off the tee (only a problem if you are spraying it around) and the greens were smaller with a lot of contour. The deer were awesome, as many have said with this course, and the value is good too. Maybe there were places that weren't very well maintained, totally get it, and maybe there were some really slow and larger groups out there (many seemed to be locals). Overall, though, I had a good time and might be back.

I loved it. We saw prob 30 or more deer on the edges of the course that added to the beauty.

This course is always kept in top condition by Justin Orbin and his staff! For anyone who really wants to learn their clubs or have a really fun, but challenging round this is the course for you!

Overall the photos of this course on the GolfNow app just made me have higher expectations. The grass was basically dead everywhere. It was still solid to hit out of the fairway, but the teeboxes were basically all weeds.

I would not recommend this course unless you can get it for cheap with a HotNow deal. I got it for $22 so it wasn’t terrible. Cheap little 9 hole courses are always okay.

(For being a 9 hole, I did really enjoy the course layout, not many 9 hole courses have that much length)

I haven’t played this course in a long time. I was very pleasantly surprised at the superb conditions of the greens. Looking forward to another round soon.

Very professional and friendly staff, course well manicured, good smooth greens, and nice layout.

Golf shop was friendly and had Junior tees for my grandson.

Course was in great shape. Staff was very friendly and they have just remodeled the place. I wished I lived closer so I could play there more often.

This is a hidden gem in the high country. The course was in great condition. Love it.

Best golf course in the area. Only 9 holes but I play different tees front and back to make it more challenging. Narrow tree-lined fairways with OB on every hole make up for not having any hazards. If you have a hard time controlling your driver, leave it in the car.
