Point Venture Golf Club

The Point Venture Golfcourse looks easy to play, but you may be mistaken. It is a wonderful course with beautiful views and surprising holes, more difficult then what one might expect.

The staff is very friendly. The facility is being redone and maybe a great facility someday. It sure looks promising!

Hope to be able to play here for many years to come.

Decided to take advantage of a Hot Deal and got a Hot Mess instead

Course has a challenging but fair layout. Greens are great.

All tee boxes were fluffy and easy to put a tee in. All greens were in very very good condition wth no sand or balld spots. Easily the best greens I have played on in a while. The only issue is some parts of the fairway were just no watered and so if you land your ball there you hitting off dirt and and or very little grass. Some of the fairways were narrow so if you slice or hook you will get in trouble really quick. Overall really really nice place and the highlight was the greens.

Fun course to play. in excellent condition. Greens are often challenging as are some fairways.

I played this short, but deceptively challenging Hill Country course for the first time today. It is scenic and generally well-maintained. (The fairway on hole #4 could use some weeding and work, but it was the exception, not the rule.) The grass on the greens was excellent, which was appreciated because the greens themselves are quite undulating. There are no sand traps on the course at all--which I'm sure helps keeps costs down, but didn't detract from the experience, because the rolling landscape, sometimes tight fairways and smallish greens are challenge enough. What this course concedes in distance, it requires in accuracy--you can hit a two-hybrid instead of a driver, but you still have to hit it straight. A good value for your golf dollar. Like the surrounding Point Venture community, this little gem is unpretentious, fun and recommended.

This is a nice course. The greens are in good shape. My 12 year old son and I played and we didn't lose any balls! Had a great time.

Course is well maintained and the people were friendly. Relaxing play.

I discovered PVGC about a year and a half ago and it has been my go to place to play ever since. Well maintained, fun, scenic layout. Lightning fast greens almost all the time. Excellent value. A 9 hole gem on the north side of Lake Travis.

The course was in in good shape, lots of wind but fair. I did too much thinking and lost my focus but having to wait on the threesome in front of us broke me.

Only 9 holes but challenging and fun. Course was in great cindition and the staff was nice and friendly. Also had a food truck that was really good.

Nice, friendly 9 hole course. Easy place to get out as a twosome.

This is really what the two nearby Lago Vista courses (one of which is now closed) could and should be.
