Point Venture Golf Club

This is the worst greens on a golf course I have ever played. The tee boxes were good and the fairways were great, but it did not matter how well you played, once you got on the green then forget it. They could have placed the pins in the best spots on the green, but it seemed like they chose the spot with no grass and all sand. I would have done better putting on the fairway. I played the course one other time and they were not this bad. I hope they get there stuff together and work on the greens.

First 3 holes (which are also 10-12) are slick hard clay. Balls would stop near the pin and then seconds to about a minute later started creeping down the green, rolling 10-30 yards back down the fairway. Extremely hard conditions. It would almost be preferable to move the pin to the fairway. Other greens are also in rough shape. Fairways are good. Beer is cold. Carts are cushy. No bunkers, no water, no real hazards at all. Teed off behind a foursome that was extremely slow… 2:45 hrs on first 9.

Course was wet. Stayed on path but grass soaked with dew

One can not stick a flag in a hole and call it a golf course. This is a total waste of time and money. Course is in horrible shape greens are no different than tee boxes do not waste your time . How this got 4 star rating is beyond me. Be clear it only 9 holes how hard would it be to improve the conditions? Just terrible experience.

Drove up to this course from San Antonio. Don’t bother making the drive. Fairways have lots of dead spots with rocks. I got stuck between two groups of five and six…Not foursomes. This course is terrible. Not even the one Hole that had a view of the lake was worth it. Pass this course and never look back unless you want to just hang out at the bar. Lots of lake bar rats here that don’t even know the game.

Challenging enough shot making course. Greens were in great condition. Will play here again!

Great value 9 hole course. Grounds were all very hard but nothing unplayable. I’m a 20+ handicap so take my advice with some salt. I had a good time playing and will definitely be back.

Narrow at times but moderately ample fairway room off the tee. Greens were tiny. Good point on greens they ran true and fast. I would play if in the area but would not go out of the way to play a nine hole course unless that is what I was looking for.

Best place to golf for beginners or intermediate players.

Beautiful 9 holes. And course is in very decent shape. Some pretty nice views of the lake. Greens are fast and challenging.

Don't let it being a 9 hole course fool you. This has all the challenge a better player could want, but allows a beginner to enjoy their round as well. Definitely need to be on your iron game, greens are small and quick!!! For this time of year, course was in great shape.
