About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

should of known better but its lake park you will get bad greens and slow play. They do the best with what they have

Appropriately Priced Course
For what you pay, this course is a good deal. Greens are relatively bumpy with Poa Annua in some areas, fairways are respectable if you’re okay with moving your ball onto good grass here and there, and the tee boxes are fine. Definitely a recreational golf environment. If you’re looking for a serious round without carts driving all around places they shouldn’t and other golf balls in your fairway, this is not the place. Overall, enjoyed the round.

Is it a Golf course or a Cow Pasture
In the past couple years the management decided to cut many trees at this course. Either due to natural disease or other issue there are no larger and mature trees on the course , This place resembles a cow pasture rather a golf course. BTW, GolfNow claims the GPS is included with the fee in their web site. This course has not had GPS for at least for the past two years.

Good value
Haven't played in years, but it was open and close to where I was working. The holes run side by side, and there just aren't many trees. You rarely find yourself in trouble, or without an approach option to your intended green. The course has decent grass on the fairways and greens.

Weird
Weirdest course I’ve ever seen. You can see every single hole pretty much wherever you are on the course. Les run run next to eachother the whole time so people kept taking/hitting your ball if you barely missed your fairway. Greens were in okay shape, playable for sure. Terrible layout though, always windy, would not play again personally, I like privacy.

Good course for the price
The greens weren’t in great shape, there’s very few distance markers, and all of the holes are side by side. Sometimes it’s hard to know which flag you’re hitting to. But, it was a lot of fun and a good course for the price.

And we thought pace was bad at The Masters!
Tee times were 20 minutes behind. No Marshall to control pace-of play. Pretty laughable.
Outside of that, decent conditions on Tee-box and fairways. Greens need some work; very patchy.
Would play again, but certainly nothing to write home about.
