About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Great corse , back 9 pace of play is horrible.
I love this links corse it's great for people who are new to golf and what not but every time I have been I end up having to wait on the back 9 could use a little more attention on that aspect but over all would go back

Never lose a ball
Great course for beginners, you have to actively try to lose your ball. Took the wife out for her third time and wanted to go somewhere stress free. There may have been 2 water hazards in the whole course and a total of maybe 30 trees. No bad rough, greens and fairways were in good shape, tee boxes were alright. Definitely great value for the price, friendly staff, and cart girl was making good rounds and passed us at least 4 times asking if we were good.

Pace
The pace needs to get better I had a group of four who just took forever and they stole my brothers ball. 1hour to play 3 holes is ridiculous! The pace needs to be adjusted big time

Great time!
Lake Park is a course where you can go bombs away on almost every hole without fear of loosing a ball. It was the first week of summer break so the course was busier than usual but we still finished at about 4hrs 30 mins. The Bermuda was pretty nice and overall course condition for the money is excellent. I recommend this course to anyone and everyone, helps get the confidence up as well.

Basic Course
Very flat not very different course. Course conditions were ok. Price was right and definitely lived the pace of play.

Nice course, awful pace
I checked in for my 3:51 tee time around 3:30 PM and did not get a cart until around 4:20 PM and did not tee off until around 4:45, so nearly an hour later. We also got stuck behind a group of six for the first five or so holes, and after they let our two-some play through we got stuck behind a group of 7!
The course was in surprisingly great shape though, especially for the price, players' volume, and being public so I have to give it that. Also right by the lake for a cool and refreshing breeze.

Pace
Easiest golf course in the world should not be a 6 hour round. I know pace of play is an issue everywhere but that can not happen at that course, especially on a Wednesday

should of known better but its lake park you will get bad greens and slow play. They do the best with what they have

Appropriately Priced Course
For what you pay, this course is a good deal. Greens are relatively bumpy with Poa Annua in some areas, fairways are respectable if you’re okay with moving your ball onto good grass here and there, and the tee boxes are fine. Definitely a recreational golf environment. If you’re looking for a serious round without carts driving all around places they shouldn’t and other golf balls in your fairway, this is not the place. Overall, enjoyed the round.

Is it a Golf course or a Cow Pasture
In the past couple years the management decided to cut many trees at this course. Either due to natural disease or other issue there are no larger and mature trees on the course , This place resembles a cow pasture rather a golf course. BTW, GolfNow claims the GPS is included with the fee in their web site. This course has not had GPS for at least for the past two years.
