Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course
About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Value course during week
It's a great course for irs value. Playing it during the week offers great pace of play, I was in a foursome and we played in 4 hours. Staff is nice but ordering food at the turn was a challenge. Course is on good condition, greens are good.
Lake Park 18
When you pull into the parking lot at Lake Park you get the feeling right away that it is a well run facility. The driving range is huge and they have a great chipping and putting area. The course conditions are great this time of year and the bermuda greens run pretty pure. This isnt the most challenging course at all, but it is a great course to let it rip and gain some confidence in your game. Wide fairways with plenty of forgiveness with misses off the tee left or right. Point blank its a fun little course that is in great condition. You also get some lake views which is nice. Give this place a try, it might surprise you.
Good course, can be slow
Good course. You won't lose many balls here, it's wide open. Can get a little bogged down and there was no Marshall. They have a nice clubhouse, great food, and actual bev. cart service. Will play again.
Overall great day
For a course that gets a LOT of play, it was in good shape. Greens were very nice. Firm and fast but rolled true.
Can pull out the driver on every par 4 or 5. Course is pretty wide open but has some interesting holes also. Some slope on the greens making them a little tricky.
You WILL hear the word Fore yelled a lot. And you will find unclaimed balls all over the place. No one seems to look too hard for their errant shots going into other fairways. Probably explains why we were able to play in 4:15 while the course was packed. Kudos to everyone on the course.
it is a good enough course for the money. Everyone friendly.
Caution, DO NOT EXCEED THE SPEED LIMIT ON THE ROAD LEADING IN TO THE COURSE. BIG SPEED TRAP (20 MPH).
Love the Course, but very busy on a Friday
Course is one of my favorites. Pace was pretty slow though. We had 4 walkers ahead of us and we were not able to finish the round.
Good local muni
Course is fun to play, not very scenic, but challenging (especially when the wind is blowing). Tends to be slow at times and hard to predict when and what times but still a fun open course to work on your game.
Slower than normal
Not really sure why, it was a warm/hot afternoon, but pace of play was slower than normal.
Great for beginners
This is a great course for beginners. There are a few obstacles, but the holes are straight and the fairways and greens are in good condition. Great quality for the price you pay. I would recommend this course to anyone, especially new golfers.
