Lake Park Golf Course - Championship Course
About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

High-handicapper
Great course for someone who has just begun to play the game of golf. Not too challenging, but not very easy for the beginner. As a high handicapper myself I managed to only lose one ball this round and shoot a low 90 which is an improvement. Greens are fast and the fairways are well kept, I can't make any promises of what the terrain will look like off the fairway.
Wide Open!
This course is literally wide open. Only a couple of holes have water from Lake Lewisville. Pace of play is very quick unless you get stuck behind a slow foursome. Fairways are clean and clear. Good place for beginners!
Great value!
We always play early and it's fairly crowded. It all depends on if you get stuck behind a slow group as far as pace of play. Most of the players out there move along pretty fast, but last time we got stuck behind some slow pokes. The course isn't that difficult which is good for a high handicapper like me. I usually leave feeling pretty good about my game, and don't lose many balls. The course is very well kept, and maintained for pace of play and ease of play. Love playing there.
Watch out for the cart fee
We thought we had pre-paid through Golfnow, but found out at the course that we still had to pay extra to ride a cart. Be aware of this.
Forgivingly
Love this course I'ma Verage golfer but here I can swingmofe open as not to lose balls. Everyone is do nice I really enjoyed myself. Course we'll groomed.
The food was good and pricing was in line. Warned up on range and putting green.
I am a high handicapper golfer, I found this course very playable, a better player would probably find it somewhat easy. I loved the openness of the course, it was forgiving for my golf game. Greens were of good speed, not too slow or fast and rolled very true. All in all, it was a fun course to play and I shot my best round of the year!
Players course
The course was well manicured, nice hills on each sides of fairways to feed the ball back to the fairways, no bad lines a real players course.
Players course
I really enjoyed this course, although some fairways were tight, its a players course because it had plenty of hills on each sides of fairways that help feed the ball back to the fairways
Course is in good shape
Always enjoy playing lake park and view by the lake.
Great value
Did an early Monday morning tee time, was amazed 2/3 of walkers out there (we walked) & played less than 3 hours. Remind me of old days of how golf should be played. Great value, good way to start the week & great view of the lake. Fun round w my friend, pretty easy track, & need the wind to trick it up. Will do it again in these crazy times. Hit them str8....
Awesome Muni
This course is fantastic. First, it's right on the backs of Lake Lewisville. Course is in great shape using muni standards. Wide open. A great place for beginners and intermediate golfers. If you want a country club level course, this isn't it. If you want an enjoyable round of golf, come on.
