About
The Canyon Course is the original layout at Meadowbrook G.C., with wide-open fairways and hardly any hazards. Designed more for the average golfer, the Canyon features less water than the Creek Course, but more bunkers. Warm up before you tee off on Canyon because you'll need to be loose to reach the 585-yard first hole in regulation.

Ball washers
Only thing I would cite is no ball washers. Covids over. Please bring back the ball washers.

Great course for the price.
For a municipal course, this is a great course. Also nice having two options between Canyon and Creek side. Be aware, Creek doesn’t wrap back around to the clubhouse after the front 9.
During the weekends this course is blown out, but if you book a tee time on a week day during a slow time it’s a very nice course for $30. Just don’t walk in expecting Rawls level amenities.

Meadowbrook Review
Fairways are a little rough in spots but the greens were pretty decent. I think for the cost of the tee time you are getting your money’s worth, but really didn’t mind since the staff were great and the pace of play was outstanding. Would definitely recommend if you are just trying to get in a cheap, quick round.

Could be better
We played the Creek Course. I’ve played Meadowbrook courses several times over the years. I don’t understand why the City of Lubbock doesn’t offer a better quality municipal course. The layout is very good. Fairways hardly have any grass. At best, the greens were barely ok. Tee boxes are pretty barren, no ball washers, cart paths pretty rough. Trees have lots of dead branches, haven’t been trimmed in years. I want to like this course but it’s just so poorly maintained. The City of Lubbock should be ashamed.
David, thank you for writing this review of our golf course. We appreciate your want to like our course and hope you continue to return for future rounds. The points you bring up are valid and things we will work on going forward, except for the ball washers. We do feel we have improved quite a bit over the past 3-4 years and we will continue working to improve.

To much people did not get to play my round because I was waiting the majority of the time

GREAT VALUE
It's a really good value. It was a little over watered but I think that was probably due to some rain in the last few days which we don't get much of in most cases. Playing by myself I had a little trouble getting around a very slow duo but eventually got there. Greens are tricky as they are very small but in pretty good shape. Overall nice day at the links.
