About
The Canyon Course is the original layout at Meadowbrook G.C., with wide-open fairways and hardly any hazards. Designed more for the average golfer, the Canyon features less water than the Creek Course, but more bunkers. Warm up before you tee off on Canyon because you'll need to be loose to reach the 585-yard first hole in regulation.

To much people did not get to play my round so I just left

We apologize for the traffic level on Monday. The only public golf course in town open that day was our Creek Course due to UIL Regional events in town. We hope you will come back out to enjoy the course another day!
Canyon
We play at Meadowbrook fairly often as there are not many courses in Lubbock. This time we played Canyon. They need to put grass in the fairway! Hitting off dirt after a great drive is annoying. Coupled with that there are no ball washers. Covid is over, put the ball washers back up! Not sure if it was because it was Monday after Easter but the round was $33 per golfer, seemed high for a Monday.
We played Creek side Wednesday April 5,2023 and found the conditions much better on that side. Better price that day too.
If the conditions would improve we wouldn’t mind paying the higher price.
Thank you for taking the time to review our course! For future reference Creek will always be $3 cheaper on any day of the week and any time of the day. We hope to see you back out soon!

Firm fairways and smaller greens that rolled quite well. Layout plays difficult with extreme wind but otherwise is a short iron to wedge approach shot. Avoid using new balls on a few holes due to rocks just off of fairway.

Canyon
Very friendly staff/ well kept course/finished 18 in three hours!!
Ball washers
Lots of good work taking place out at Meadowbrook. New fringes around the greens. Aeriating the greens. Irrigating the fairways. But no ball washers since they pulled em cause of COVID. Bring back our ball washers.
Over booked
Course is way over booked on the weekends. I usually get through a round in two and a half hours. Yesterday took me a little over FOUR HOURS! I had to wait at every tee box at one point it was backed up three groups. People behind me were giving up. I actually had the chance to play hole eight twice and still had to wait at the tee box

Probably the best course that i’ve played considering the price of the round!
Greens are terrific!
Took my son out for a round of golf. Pace of play was great. Greens were terrific. After the recent rain, you can bet that the fairways will soften up and green up a bit.
