Canyon at Meadowbrook Golf Complex, The

About
The Canyon Course is the original layout at Meadowbrook G.C., with wide-open fairways and hardly any hazards. Designed more for the average golfer, the Canyon features less water than the Creek Course, but more bunkers. Warm up before you tee off on Canyon because you'll need to be loose to reach the 585-yard first hole in regulation.

Big improvements!
I’ve played this course since 1990, there are times it has looked pretty rough. I can see great improvement and the employees are doing everything they can to make it better. Everything they have control over is greatly improved. It has always been the best layout in town and with some help from the weather it will be the best golf course in town. Keep it up guys!

Much needed rain
The course always looks awesome this time of year with the rain ....overall fairways were in good shape except # 2 .... tee boxes were in good shape and greens overall we’re very good rolled nice .... if they could only trim up the trees this course would be pretty good
Not worth the money
They really should not be charging college students 30-40 dollars to play golf at a place like this it’s ridiculous. Almost every fairway is straight dirt. Y’all really need to lower your price.
Horrible
I don’t know how that’s considered a golf course! Not one drop of water has ever seen that place! Hit every shot off of concrete grass
Nice layout
It is hard to critique most courses in January and during a drought. That being said greens were in good shape, course is open and easy to escape trouble. If you are not in the fairway on some holes you are in dirt and rocks when you are in areas that is to be second cut of rough. Pace of play was good though I do wish other golfers (true on any course I have played in Lubbock) would learn to play more ready golf and keep carts away from the edges of the green. Better course etiquette helps course management on all courses.
Trees trees trees!!!
I understand it’s a public course. But someone is going to get hurt if they do not do something about all of the downed limbs. There are some that are stuck in the said trees that are waiting to fall. There is debris everywhere. This course would be fantastic if everything got cleaned up...just waiting on that to happen. And when it does, it’ll be 5 star all around.
Slow pace but great play for money
Slow I wish they would open both courses when it’s nice out.
Meadowbrook Canyon
Course was in fair condition and the pace was fast. We finished 18 holes in 3.75 hours. The staff was great!
