Canyon at Meadowbrook Golf Complex, The
About
The Canyon Course is the original layout at Meadowbrook G.C., with wide-open fairways and hardly any hazards. Designed more for the average golfer, the Canyon features less water than the Creek Course, but more bunkers. Warm up before you tee off on Canyon because you'll need to be loose to reach the 585-yard first hole in regulation.

Group of 10!?!?!????
Called club house twice, had a group of 10 individuals playing in front of us. Twice I was told the Marshall was on his way, never seen a marshal and the group continued. Took 3 hours to play 11 holes. Staff is very friendly. Marshall is basically a ghost, by far my worst golf experience at meadow brook thus far
Greens fast as a billiards table but what a challenge
My friends and I try to make our annual pilgrimage to Meadow Brook. Once again it did not disappoint! Thanks and Seeya next year!
Able to golf
For winter conditions in good shape , overall
Greens roll good , play a round of Golf in around 4 hrs
Average Muni
Grew up playing this course in high school, almost 30 years ago. I carry an 8 and never touch the ball from tee to green (except within the rules), but I had to play the ball up today because EVERY lie in the fairway went to a valley. So, you can either hit it from a bad lie or from an elevated lie, neither is very good. The greens were not too bad. They didn't hold great, but held well enough, and they putted fairly true with I'd say about a 9 or possibly a 10 on the Stimp. That, and the fact it was a holiday weekend and we played in 3 hours and 10 minutes were the saving factors and why I didn't rate this old course as POOR. Grow some grass in the fairways!!!!
Great layout
Have always been a fan of both courses. But like the Creek side better.......
First time this year
Greens were fair for this time of year .fairways were dry but we are in a record drouth
This course could be so much better
Thia course could be to much more the layout is amazing for both creek and canyon but the greens need some tender loving care very bumpy i am pertty good putter but when i played both sides the greens where not true and i struggled to keep my pace i usually shoot in the lower 80s to hi 70s and playing these courses i shot hi 80s and could not find my high 70s as usually do on my back nines but over all of they would work on greens it would play much better
Beautiful Day
The course was crowded but the pace was good. The greens were fast and not flat. The fairways were in good shape as were the tee boxes. I schedule with GolfNow, so that's why it was that cheap. Overall, the round was quite enjoyable.
Weird course
Quite possibly the strangest layout that I've ever seen. Some holes were good While others were laid out by someone that could not have been a golfer. There was a 232 yard Par 3 with a huge tree right in the way of your tee shot. It almost looked like they wanted you to hit it over the tree with a 2-iron the greens were in good shape with the exception of large clumps of cut grass that were left by the lawn mower. If you do decide to play, please remember to bring mosquito spray. They feasted on me
