Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.

Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.

The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.

Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

First time here, overall extremely pleased with the conditions tee to green for the coat, great value. Greens were true and speed consistent throughout.

We teed off at 3 and had the course to ourselves. Only ding was the sprinklers that came on at 16 straight nto our cart. Lucky my son was fast enough to run and move it before it drenched our phones.

Worth another trip to come and play again

Course is in great condition. Except cant figure out why they would dimple and sand the greens this time of year? The course could easily be 5 stars if the greens were just not dimpled and sandy all the times it seems

Pinnacle of golf in East Texas.

This is a great golf course with the trees, course layout, and deer-a-plenty. The reason for just the good rating on course conditions on this round is that they just aerated and sanded the greens. Most of the time it is in excellent condition and it is a great test for any golfer

Local apparently rule the world

Stacked Sunday morning and as usual a mix of let’s call them traveling players and local resident playing the course. To make a long story short hit a rolling fade towards the green and it was to close for comfort for someone but was in no way a danger to him or his group. So grandpa comes over to me and starts yelling this will be his only time to warn me before he starts stealing my golf balls. Then after our awkward encounter him and his group decided they need to stop play to let me play through. Then gramps proceeds to honk his horn on his cart during my drive. Really classes place to drive an hour to come play.
