Formerly known as Arrowhead Country Club, Pinnacle opened in 1970 as a 9-hole track nestled on the cozy banks of Cedar Creek Lake. Tough times descended and the course was shut down before reopening with an additional nine and new ownership in the 1980s.
Dallas’ eastward growth has turned many onto the pleasant, rural atmosphere at Pinnacle Golf Club. Every hole is lined with trees and, despite its short length, the course is particularly tough because of the numerous dogleg fairways. Not counting the par 3s, 11 of 14 holes have doglegs. Because of the trees it’s recommended that you leave the driver in the bag.
The toughest hole is No. 15, a par 5 that goes 511 yards and offers a testy risk-reward decision. With a good drive into the wide-open fairway, going for it in two is possible by cutting the lake on the left side of the fairway.
Getting there : From Hwy. 175 east, find the town of Eustace and turn right on Hwy. 316. Drive. Turn right on Hwy. 316 and drive 5.5 miles to Clear Creek Rd. Turn right again and follow the signs to the course.

Awesome
Really awesome course well maintained and the book they give to first timers to the course was extremely helpful!!! It is a tough layout and you definitely have to lay up off the tee on a few holes, and keep the ball strait. if you go left or right off the tee you’ll be lucky to escape with a bogey.
The HOT Value tee time was really HOT!!!
I love this course. Deer are always present feeding on the course and are not bothered by the golf carts. The greens were surprisingly soft.
Great course
Course was in really good shape. Only a couple of greens has problems and they were on the outer edges of the greens. It was a good enjoyable outing even with temperature at 100.
Excellent conditions
Middle of the Summer and the fairways are plush and the greens are green and receptive, Doglegs are challenging but not to unreasonable. 15th hole is a great hole but you must stay right with your tee shot, while the green is a long hour glass. Great course.
Great place for golf and great view
Fairways are in great shape. Greens are a litte thin. But this time of year in Texas tough to keep them looking great and receptive to approach shots. I luke playing this course if for no other reason than for the surrondings. Far enough into east texas that you get red dirt and green trees. Deer also run around on the course as well. Only 25 on a Friday, cant beat the rate. Treat yourself and play here.

I'm a local of Henderson County. This is my favorite course.
Great layout
Get time but should not allow 6 or7 some playing together
Love the course and the layout.... Grass is very short on fairways and greens
Pace of play
We got in behind two groups of five and were never encouraged to play through. Both groups were very slow, even for a fivesome. We played 16 holes ( we skipped two holes to get around these groups) in 5 hours. Long day not getting to play all 18.
